3.5 stars, but still gonna buy the next book.
I found this second installment not as good as the first one for an obvious reason; very little happens for the majority of the book. I didn’t find it boring. It was still somewhat engaging as a slice of life plot, but not to the extent that I wasn’t a little disappointed.
Unfortunately, 90% of the plot is concentrated into a few chapters sprinkled throughout the book. Not to mention that the whole “Hogwarts” magic academy trope is so played out that an author really has to be imaginative to keep it from feeling tedious.
On the positive side, this series has a focus on characters and I find that the more time I spend with them, the more I enjoy the people and relationships that the author has crafted.
By the end of this audiobook the author had me back on their side and hungry for the next book, but I hope they do a better job with the plot pacing and school aspects in future books.
So I’d still recommend it, but if you’re a listener who prefers constant action and plot driven stories then this one might not be for you.

B- for this one
I was so excited to have this book. I wanted to listen to it as soon as it came out. I had to finish another good book before this one though. LOL. unfortunately this one didn't do it for me. I am just confused where the story is going? You will understand by the end of the book. I just think this book is a filler kind of which is weird bc He just got to the school so there should be some continuation of excitement.
*****SPOILERS*******
The issue with this story is after book one he goes to a school. You would think ok bullies and etc, but nope. Instead we got some random monster that really has nothing to do with the main story. Yes I believe what happened in the story could have still been used, but not the main part of the story. It was literally a random monster so how did the monster get there? Is it part of a bigger plot? Another issue I have is the whole family issue. I don't understand the full story and they just left it unanswered honestly. We know what the mother did, but we don't know why honestly. Now they are running around happy as can be and we are like ok what is the actual story other than an accident due to being to full of ones self. Anyways do better bc this story started off going places now we are like ????? Thank you

story progression is non-existent
first off let me just say even though my rating isn't high this book is enjoyable and I did like it buttt!! it's just this book as a lit RPG is a failure for this genre if it was in the same genre as Harry Potter it would be a success which makes this a difficult review, this book is more of a social story than an actual progression story because there is no progression,. and what I mean by that is I'm not saying this book doesn't have a story it does it's just that the character does not get any stronger from where he started and the story doesn't even focus in any way on him getting stronger that's why I called it more of a Harry Potter story because it's more focused on his events and life of him being in school and ignores everything about a lit RPG that makes a "lit RPG" a lit RPG, also the story has no plot not really one anyway. lit RPGs are always about the fights and the conflicts and the epicness that happens in them. but this book is missing all of that, also, spoiler,.. kidnapping in the first book was enough why in the world would you do it again for this now you're making kidnapping a habit and that's just a bad thing for riding if you want things to be different, also it's a bad look for the main character did not be the strongest character why is he losing to everybody he fights and he's far older than everyone meaning he has a older brain for thinking it doesn't make sense for him to be able to lose to children who are only 14 years old. he should have definitely been the number one when it came to fighting and if not number one for his age group he should have been number two it's just stupid for him to be anything less.

Did the the Author hit his head?
So much randomness. The dialogue and scenes have no rhyme or reason. Its like the author stopped writing for the day in the middle of a idea and then tried to continue it the next. I gave up after the 10th time I had to rewind.

So much fluff.
Nothing happened in this book. He went to school met a new friend and fought a monster at the end and even that was dragged out, the whole fight was basically oh an illusion! he broke out! But he got caught back into the illusion! But he broke out again! But he got caught on it again! It was bore. Even the fight with the monster was basically on the last 2 hours.

Good Story but with a lot of B.S.
This is a great story but the author needs to stop beating around the bush. He starts going into an explanation on why everyone hates the main characters mother and then backs off like 15 freaking times and instead goes on and on and on about his feelings. His heart goes pitter patter, his heart explodes with joy and emotion and and and he just isn't ready yet. It's total freaking B.S. I found myself screaming at the main character for being such a twerp.

Genius teen baby writing hack
The author is cheating with this fast growing baby nonsense.
We all love a good genius kid fantasy story, but this goober is trying to have it more than both ways.
He is a genius 3 year old baby.
Also a talented teen magician.
Also an reincarnated adult mind.
Having these teen babies mingling with actual teens is just weird.
Him being 3 years old is barely ever relevant to anything anyway so why do it this way?
Loved the book tho 5/5.

A slow burn
ThinkTwice provided a steady forward tempo throughout the book. I enjoyed listening to it but there was too much of a leisurely pace with a number of sections which felt more like filler than advancing the plot of the story. I was pleased to learn that author had moved away from discussing his infant-age-vs-growth-phenomenon and proceeded more into him being in adolescent body working his way through the academy. There were significant new characters introduced both primary and secondary in nature and ample backstory provided on each. The final battle was between the MC and a powerful monster which, while it was defeated, it left the kingdom crippled from the prior damage it had produced.
There's no ThinkingTwice for me on my intent to continue the series.
Neil Hellegers' performance continues to deliver.
