About this listen

This book is an erotic gay romance. It contains explicit language and lots of steamy sex between two hot guys. For listeners 18+ only.

Blake Davis is in the closet. And he's going to stay that way. Because if his father finds out he's gay, Blake could lose everything he's worked so hard to achieve during the last six years as CEO of Trinity Publishing, the fastest rising star in the publishing firmament. Not that coming out wouldn't solve a couple of problems. Maybe then his father would stop trying to set him up with yet another empty-headed, social-climbing girlfriend. And better still, Blake could stop using that escort agency when he wants a night of hot sex with a cute guy.

Will Parkinson has had a tough life so far, but he's back on his feet. Okay, so he's working as an escort - with benefits - to pay off his student loans, but that does have its advantages, such as the really hot guy who hired him. Yeah, Blake rocked his world last night - several times. So imagine how Will feels when he arrives to be interviewed for his dream job as PA in a publishing company, and the guy who's hiring is...Blake.

And then things get really complicated.

Good story and characters but I really struggled with the Narrator's voice. I usually love KC Wells books but I cant listen to one again, I will stick to reading them.

Narrator's voice all wrong

I absolutely loved this book! The men, Blake and Will, meet up in an unorthodox fashion, but its lust at first sight, and before long love, of course!

The story has everything: tough beginnings, a superb villain, restored relationships, a wonderful cast of supporting characters, spicy sex, misunderstandings, a proposal, the happy ever after we yearn for in romance-landia, and plenty more besides.

The narration is super, with excellent characterisation and emotive interpretation.

The story is engaging from the outset, I adored both main characters and was rooting for them from the get-go. I read/listen to lots of books. Lots. And it was refreshing to enjoy an English book, set in London, narrated well and so relatable, I felt like it was so real I could have been there.

I was given a free copy of this audio book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Fabulous romance with hot sex, strong men and HEA

I absolutely love this book and it is a go to read. Certain scenes stick in my head, and I want to relive them again and again. So the writing is always going to be 5 stars for me.

As I know the story, I didn't need to read the book while listening (hearing difficulties). For the most part, I enjoyed the narration by Cornell Collins. He is clear and pacing is good. I didn't quite feel his voicing of Will. I would have preferred a slightly lighter voice. But that's just me.

Great story

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

boring trite and obvious plot topped off with really badly handled domestic violence and casual mysogeny.
