About this listen
A sexy, smoldering, romantic comedy from international best-selling author, Christina Ross.
After years of struggling in New York City, I’m on the verge of making it big in my career...until he enters my life, and then all bets are off.
"He" would be Hunter Steele, the ridiculously hot show-runner of a popular reality show called The Terrible Teens.
My name is Julia Jacobs, and on the very day I’m promoted to become an assistant agent at the talent agency CAA, I sign Pepper Winters, a billionaire’s daughter with a massive social media following who wants to be on the next season of Hunter’s ultra-toxic reality show.
No. Matter. What.
Trouble is, the moment Pepper and I meet with Hunter to discuss bringing her on the show, I can’t keep my eyes off him. He’s tall, dark, handsome, and has something in his jeans that looks like a damned anaconda.
In other words, he’s exactly the type of man I don’t need to be distracted by right now. After all, I have a limited amount of time to prove myself to CAA. If I do? I’ll be promoted to associate agent. And if I don’t? I’ll be out of a job altogether.
But with Hunter coming on to me, how in the hell am I supposed to focus on my job? At first, I try my best to resist him, but after a disastrous breakup, I’ve been single for four years, and a girl has her needs. As the weeks pass and we come to know one another better, my guard starts to drop. Should I give Hunter a chance? Or should I let him go forever when I learn about his playboy past....?
I’ve been burned once. I won’t be burned again. And as much as I want to believe in Hunter when he tells me he’s moved beyond his loose reputation of bedding too many women to count, I now have to wonder if I can trust him.
And if I dare to do so, will he and I have a chance to make it....?
With Christina Ross' gift for delivering romance, humor, wit, and characters you'll love and never forget, Making It will leave listeners swooning until the end.

This book is so good! I love the slow romance, even though there was some insta-lust (I don't like insta-stuff). I think the characters were good developed, three dimension and likeable. The storyline is pleasant, has a medium-pace and the plot is not thin. I confess the teenage drama got on my nerves sometimes, so I skimmed a bit. The narrator is very talented, I like her male voice, her pace and her acting.

Closer to 4 stars
This is my first book from this author and I'll definitely check her others out. I liked the writing and feel like the idea was a good one but the execution lacked. I needed more from our couple and less about the show. The performance was fine, overall it was ok but with a bit more focus on the romance, this one could've been great.

Making It
Julia finally gets the recognition she has been working hard for. Her first assignment is to get her new client signed with Hunter. Sparks fly between these 2 from the moment they meet, but Julia will let nothing get in the way of her success. This story was so fun and well written. My favorite scene was in the ball room. The book will keep you laughing and guessing just what comes next. Amanda Stribling does a fantastic job on the narration and bringing the book to life with her unique characters. Thanks Audiobook Obsession for the recommendation.

Making It
Making It is a fun, flirty rom com. It's the story of Hunter, who is a sexy show-runner of a reality teen TV show, and Julia, who is a quick-witted talent agent for 14 year old Pepper -- the daughter of a billionaire who wants to be on Hunter's show. When Julia and Hunter meet for the first time, there is an instant spark that neither of them can deny. The storyline was interesting and the characters were likable. This is book 2 in the series but it is a standalone. I had no trouble following Making It without having read book 1 (Faking It) first.
Amanda Stribling has narrated several books I have listened to and has always done an amazing job but her portrayal of Epifania was hilarious and perfectly done. She really knows how to bring each and every character to life.

Stand alone story with great characters
This was the first book I've listened to by Christina Ross. I loved the characters and the character development around the secondary characters. The primary relationship was just okay for me, since even though it had an extended timeline, it still had a lot of insta-love feels. It got off to a really great start, then lost me a bit. I would be interested in reading more by this author.
I am a huge Amanda Stribling fan, though this one had some unexpected French pronunciations.... Maybe it's Canadian French or the way French is taught on the east coast or something, and she may have done it completely right for others, but it just sounded off to me. I've listened to at least 10 books performed by her and she's one of my go-to narrators.

selfish love..
I enjoyed this story. Julia is trying to make it at the company. Hunter is a director for a reality show. She ends up being Pepper's guardian during the filming. Hunter and Julia start spending time together and fall in love. She is still hung up on the ex from years ago . afraid to commit. tries to push him away. then all the drama with the reality show girls.
amanda stribling is phenomenal at the narration. at times you never know it was really a guy doing the parts.

Unique storyline
I must say I wasn’t sure on this book to begin with but it has a great storyline that many youngsters can learn from. It shows that there is issues with most people including the ones who seem to have many friends. Great narration.

Making It
This was a first for me by Christina Ross, but a very entertaining listen. The story is well written, and Julia was a bit badassy.
The performance by Amanda Stribling, brought this book to another level. The story and performance meshed very well together.
