Summary

The brand-new thriller from the Richard & Judy pick author and six-million-copy best seller.

Twenty years ago, Cyrus Haven's family was murdered and only he and his brother survived. Cyrus because he hid. Elias because he was the killer.

Now Elias is being released from a secure psychiatric hospital and Cyrus, a forensic psychologist, must decide if he can forgive the man who destroyed his childhood.

As he prepares for the homecoming, Cyrus is called to a crime scene in Nottingham. A man is dead, and his daughter, Maya, is missing. Then a second woman is abducted. The only witness is Evie Cormac, a troubled teenager with a gift for knowing when people are lying.

Both missing women have dark secrets that Cyrus must unravel to find them—and he and Evie know how the past can come back to haunt you....

A fabulous series

I loved the Jo O’Loughlin books and am now really, really enjoying the Cyrus books. Well read and very well written. Only criticism is that I am compelled to gobble them up far too quickly!!

Not his best

Predictable plot with a clichéd ending, this series is already getting tired. If there are to be no more in Joseph O'Loughlin series I think I'll cross Michael Robotham off my favourite author list.

Michael does it again

Once again Michael has written a winner, keeping you intrigued from start to finish ….I love how the characters in this series have developed.

The best yet!

How invested in the lives of the main characters I am by now! They're so well drawn and believable. I was uncertain about Elias, (as I was supposed to be) and couldn't imagine how this would be resolved, but it was perfect. Dare I hope there will be more from Cyrus and Evie? Terrific narration too. Congratulations to all concerned!!

The séries continues

I have enjoyed this third book in the Cyrus Haven series. However somewhere you know you are going to be disappointed, which is different for each person.

The underlying story of the missing girls was well thought out, however the continuing story weaved through this series grated a bit.

This book was not as good as the others in the series, this is purely personal as I felt Cyrus’s brother Elias had been introduced too soon.

I personally wanted more unfolding of the Cyrus and Evie characters from the previous two books, as they are both are very complex characters, before the introduction of Elias who you know is going to make an appearance at some point, but for me was too soon.

That said, I will probably buy the next book as the series is very good.

Simply Brilliant

Great narration by Joe Jameson, he really brings the characters to life.

Cyrus and Evie are such brilliant characters. The storyline is excellent. You certainly won't be disappointed.

Just hope there will be a book 4

Best of the series so far

I enjoyed this book, though not thrilled by the narrator, he seems a bit 'shouty' though not enough to detract from the story,
Interesting story, the characters are settling down a bit more than in the first two books.

Another winner

The Cyrus and Evie series continues- as strong and as wonderfully observed as the first two volumes.
