Summary

All it took was one shot of whiskey to let myself burn.

Cash told me loving him wasn't a risk. He promised we would dance in the moonlight.

He swore he was nothing like the ones who broke my heart.

And he was right. He was so much worse.

But what do you do with an addiction you can’t kick?

Drink in the shadows, take shots in the dark, and savor the buzz knowing the next morning won’t be worth it.

Because it’s not enough.

Nothing is ever enough when the person you hate is also the one you love.

Loving Whiskey is book two of the Falling for Whiskey duet. It is a Billionaire Contemporary Romance.

This book is part of a duet and is not a standalone.

Loved Cash and Grace!!

Loving Whiskey - Book 2 of Falling for Whiskey *This is not a standalone, you must read Whiskey Lies first*

Loving Whiskey was a captivating listen that held my attention from the first chapter to the last and had me wanting more!

Cash and Grace were a book couple that I grew to adore and couldn't get enough of. Their rollercoaster of a relationship was riddled with drama, miscommunication, and some family secrets. Yes, It was frustrating at times and I wanted them to push the other to hear them out, but in the end, it worked out and they came out stronger with a fierce love between them. I enjoyed the side characters very much and look forward to reading/listening to more books by this author!

Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers continued their stellar performances of Cash and Grace into Loving Whiskey. Their voices really work well together and have become one of my favorite narrator duos.

If you like romances that are angsty and a little messy I highly recommend this duet!

Too many loose ends for a duet!

The ending was cute but it was all a bit easy on the finish line ... and all a bit much with amnesia, murder, bomb,  death, mum seeing the light. Ugh!

I would have liked to know more about her mum's relationship with his dad and what their intentions were. Surely she wasn't evil enough to see her own daughter's demise? Who was Chase's mum? Ugh! Also Cash never queried why and what she had said to her mum.

Grace was so infuriating. She wanted it all but didn't want to give anything, e.g. trust those closest to her like Marion who literally did give her everything, Cash who tried so hard and then she forgave Tessa for the utter betrayal without a blemish. Just no, no, no!

Also if this is a duet, it should be finished and not left with so many Unfinished strands, particularly when the next book is about Tessa and completely unrelated, except that she's Grace's friend.

The #duetnarration was sublime though by #joearden and #Lucy Rivers and they brought all the characters to life.

4.5 Stars!

An interesting and dramatic conclusion to Cash and Grace’s story!

Loving Whiskey is book 2 in the Falling for Whiskey series. It pretty much picks up from where book 1 ended. At the beginning of book 2 here, Cash and Grace are still reeling from Cash’s family’s big secret that came out at the end of book 1. This is causing a rift between them as Cash believes the one person he loves, and trusts betrayed him and is responsible. He is done with Grace. Meanwhile, Grace, having been left by Cash, now must pick up the broken pieces of her life especially as her professional reputation has been damaged.

They both struggle with life apart, and more things occur that make their journeys even more difficult.

This book was such a rollercoaster of emotions for me. The angst was top-notch! 👌 So much came out, including family secrets and lies that threatened to tear Cash and Grace apart. It was almost like experiencing an entire season of a dramatic tv show all in this duet, and I enjoyed every second of the journey. I felt a whirlwind of emotions reading this, frustration, anger, excitement, sadness, happiness, and many more!

And finally, can we talk about the spice? The spice was everything. So 🔥! Overall, this was an interesting read and I enjoyed it!

Narrated by Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers, they were amazing in this! I loved the way they conveyed their emotions. When I say they brought the characters to life, I mean it. I could feel the sadness, the happiness, the anger, etc. in their voices whenever the characters felt it. Honestly recommend the audiobook!

Cash & Grace's conclusion!

After book one, I needed to know what was going to become of Grace and Cash. Their volatile relationship was definitely exploding, but it couldn't be the end, could it? Cash believed Grace betrayed him and his family. Not even giving her the chance to tell her story, the two split and Grace was doing her best to get on with her life. But Cash would not let her be. Hating her and letting her know it was his goal. He could not stay away. But why??? Could he still have feelings for her? Could she forgive his behavior and move on? And all this turmoil is going on as a behind the scenes, things are not as quiet as they seem. It's a story that will grab you, make you feel and give you everything. Reasons to love and hate, people to love and hate and a love story to stand the test of time.

Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers conclude the duet with their fabulous voices. Arden as Cash is swoony and frustrating, undeniably lovable. He adds in his accents for different characters that are spot on! Rivers as Grace is strong and resilient. She is able to stretch her talent with a variety of women from young to old, giving us an amazing array of characters. These two are fantastic and made the listen shine!

“We love dancing, don’t we Whiskey?”

-Audiobook Review-

Cash and Grace’s story ended on the worst break up in book one and I am SO glad you wrote this second book Brittanee because girl I was MAD. Mad at Grace, mad at Cash, all their friends and family. In this book I do love the other relationships built between Grace and other people. I was hanging by a thread thinking the ending wasn’t going to turn out the way I thought it would. The downright dirty things that happen in this book were 10/10. Grace really comes into herself and isn’t shy about it. Cash and the grand gestures made my heart want to melt at the end of the book. It was a wild freaking rollercoaster, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Somewhat predictable

It was all there, story, twisted and spice. It was somewhat predictable in the foreshadowing but very good

Even better than the first book.

Cash and Gracie coming back together is even better the second time around. My only complaint is what happened with Cash’s sister and Jonathan. Maybe another book?

It was alright

Tbh the first book was dragging keep me moving on to the next book because of the cliffhanger and this book one the first half of the book they spent most of the time going down on each other 😂 then the rest of the book fell angsty and dragging ,it then got better on the final chapters… big applause to the narrators they really kept me listening to this book that so many times I was thinking of dnf but I made it till the end .the narration and the acting here is great, you could really feel the heavy emotions on this MC nicely done Joe Arden.

Cash Money

Crazy twists in everyone’s storyline in book 2. Narration is top notch. Grace kinda gets on my nerves in this book but I guess that’s a sign of good writing if the author intended it.

AWE……SOME ‼️

Didn’t want it to end! Joe & Lucy were brilliant and the Boston accent isn’t easy to pull off. Story has a nice balance of truth, romance & life’s issues with some unexpected twists just like the real world. Look forward to other stories from Brittanee.
