Beautiful book

This is a beautifully written book. Such a lovely story filled with love and laughter, tears and sorrow. I had seen the film first and didn't think the book would be as good, I was mistaken. I listened to this so quickly, usually I stop and start audio books, but this one I just just wanted to listen and not stop. Simply amazing

I loved it, a cautionary tale in love lost & found

once you get used to the format of the book being a series of instant messages, texts, and various newspaper cut outs etc it really is an enjoyable tale. PS: it's hardly like the movie at all so it's worth the read to get the real story!

SPOILER ALERT:

heartbroken it took them so long to get together but it's a real cautionary tale about seizing the moment taking risks and taking chances ❤

Great book, great film

I have loved the film Love Rosie for many years but it was only just recently that I saw it was based on a book. I found the book on Audible and have loved listening to it. it is definitely a book that I will listen to over again.

A bit boring

The narrator is very good and I enjoyed listening to her. I was a bit disappointed with the story and to be honest thought the romantic affair with Alex a little repetitive. Would I listen to this again...no.
However, it's not the worst story I have listened to & I stayed with it to the end so I guess that says a lot!
Bought it based on the reviews. Not sorry that I did as with everything it's all down to personal opinion!

Fab narration of a great, but long-winded story

Another great story, although a little tedious at times. Brilliantly narrated! It's definitely worth a listen.

Letters

It took a bit of getting used to with the letters and emails however I enjoyed it once I got used to the style.

Different and loveable

I enjoyed this book so much. I loved the style of emails, letters and messages. It was a nice change from what I normally go for. I felt like I really knew the characters. It made me laugh and cry. I now want to watch the film again to see how it compares.

So much better than the film!

Would you consider the audio edition of Love, Rosie (Where Rainbows End) to be better than the print version?

No, this is one of the few audiobooks I've listened to where I actually preferred the print version. This is mainly due to it being in epistolary structure, you lose something when not actually reading the letters, emails etc.

What other book might you compare Love, Rosie (Where Rainbows End) to, and why?

I haven't read another book that stands out to me as being hugely similar; to me it's more like the Ross & Rachel storyline from friends.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The breathing pattern and pronunciation could have been better. I found myself getting annoyed (especially in the middle section) about odd gaps between sentences.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

There are some things even time can't change.

Any additional comments?

Absolutely gripping story, at times I found myself shouting for the characters to do a certain thing. I wanted to pick up a pen and write to them both. You do get used to the narration but at times you have to really focus to catch certain words.
