Summary
My name is Delilah Graham, and music is my life. I moved from Chicago to live in the one place that I considered to be the center of the universe: New York City. At 23 years old, after raising my two brothers and sister, it was time for me to start my own life. I worked as a waitress in a greasy diner by day, and by night I performed my music in small clubs around the city and on the streets of New York. That was until a man and his daughter stepped into the diner and changed my life forever. He hired me to be his daughter's nanny, but I have a feeling he wants more from me.
My name is Oliver Wyatt, and I made my first million at the age of 20. Life's been somewhat complicated since my five-year-old daughter, Sophie, was sent to live with me after her mother died. She drove away the nannies I hired to take care of her until one afternoon, while eating lunch, a beautiful waitress and my daughter shared a special connection. She was exactly what Sophie needed. My brother, Liam, said she was just what I needed. I am nothing but a man with a heart of stone, compliments of a girl I loved so many years ago. Lust is a powerful emotion - an emotion so strong that trying to deny it only makes it that much stronger. Now that I have met Delilah, rules will be broken, and lines will be crossed.

Loved it!
Nice story, it was as if I was watching real people go through real problems. Strong female lead, not like those other books where the females are always acting like they are so helpless in the presence of the male leads or heroes. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

a dream come true
Sandi Lynn will sweep you away with this sexy story of Delilah and Oliver. A single daddy, a precious little girl, and a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Who says dreams can't come true?

Not enough character development
The characters fell in lust, love to fast. He treated her badly and boom she fell in love with him after sleeping together a few times. I don't know how anyone can fall in love/lust with a man that didn't give his own daughter any of his time. I was disappointed. On the plus the narrators did the best they could with what they had to work with.

Oliver and Delilah!
When Oliver’s girlfriend cheated on him when he was 17 he decided that he would never let another woman close enough to hurt him. He had also decided he didn’t want children so when his ex became pregnant against his wishes he financially supported her and his daughter but it went no further until he finds himself a single father when she passed away.
Delilah raised her siblings when she was a child herself and they are all now attending university. She works as a waitress at a diner although her true love is singing. When Oliver and his daughter Sophie come in for lunch she is fired when she tries to console Sophie but Oliver hires her to be Sophie’s nanny.
Living together Delilah helps Oliver bond with his daughter and the chemistry between Oliver and Delilah is intense but will a man who never wants a relationship be willing to allow Delilah into his heart?
I enjoyed the narrators and they managed to cover a lot of different voices very well.

What a great "Cinderella" story!
This was the first book by Sandi Lynn that I've read/listened to, but it sure won't be the last! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was really a nice spin on the Cinderella theme. It was just a deeper, more important story about love, loss, acceptance, trust and understanding.
I loved how not only was the story about Sophie learning to trust and love as experts herself, but also about Oliver leading to be a father and more patient and accepting person. Delilah was the bright light that entered their lives and changed their world.
Loved the book!!
Brian and Fran did a really good job with the narration. This was the first time I had heard any of their work too. They did a nice job bringing the characters to life and getting their emotions across. Very enjoyable!

Disappointed
I suppose it's hard to eat hamburger when you've had filet mignon (Meghan March). Not much of a story and the intimate moments were mediocre. Hell I dont recall that Delila had an O her first encounter with Oliver.
If you're new to this genre you will probably enjoy it better, but if you truly want an alpha male with snarky strong women that actually carries on a conversation with enthusiasm, sarcasm, emotion and just right down dirty hot thoughts, read Meghan March. She has ruined me....
