Summary
Who the f--k gave Slade Cruz this kind of power over me?
I don’t know how it happened. One minute he was the guy I loathed, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up beside him desperate to get out of there.
When secrets are revealed, Slade and I realize that we are more connected than we could have ever known. Not only are we learning that our hearts beat as one, but we now share a common enemy who neither of us could have foreseen.
I’m quickly learning that Lucien Valentine isn’t only the monster in my storybook, but makes appearances in many. He needs to be stopped, but this war is bigger than just me, and I don’t think I have what it takes to fight it.
Betrayals bite hard as secrets are revealed. Hearts are put on the line, and just when you thought you had it all, the devil shows up on your door. This time he might take more than you could possibly give, and it might just cost you your life.
Hold onto your seats because Aston Creek is about to enter a war it never saw coming.

Slade and Skylah!
Skylah is strong and fierce. She found herself at the mercy of an evil man and she doesn’t want to be at his mercy or anyone else’s again. When a secret is exposed, it causes a rift between her and Slade but what they share is too strong to be denied.
Slade is hurt when he finds out what Skylah never told him but with a little time, he understands the position that Skylah was in and when the danger from her past reemerges, he will do whatever is necessary to protect her.
I enjoyed seeing the deepening relationship between Skylah and Slade and the friendship they share with Damien and Nessa. Hot chemistry, escalating drama and the secrets keep coming which all leads up to cliffhanger that leaves us needing to know where they go from there. I enjoyed the performance of both narrators, and it was great to have some chapters from Slade’s point of view. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Slade Cruz, need I say more?
Slade Cruz.. This man, he's perfect. That is all.
No, but seriously he is. I loved him and Skylah together so much. I wanted them to just be happy but noooo Lucien had to go and ruin it! Go figure..
Skylah has so many obstacles in front of her, I hated her struggles. She deserved so much more than that. I was devastated at the ending of this book, I mean goodness it couldn't have been any worse.
I am obsessed with Damien and his crazy self. He is the perfect side character. The ease of friendship with all of their friends is what everyone needs. Between Blake, Nessa, Damien, Skylah, and Slade things are great.. it's all the outside stuff that gets in the way of their happiness and I hate that for them.
I love that Sky was able to open up to Shay and let her in on what was happening and I love how her and Daniela had an instant connection.
Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray were meant for this role. They did amazing!

Audiobook obsession reviewer, flock reviewer
The feelings that this book brought up was incredible. I felt so much sorrow, hope and love for this book and the characters. This is not a relaxing and easy book to listen to but it is so worth it. I could not recommend this book any more.
If you want a book to twist you up and leave you in shock after finishing then this is the book for you.

Slade & Sky!!!!
I love how this story is progressing!!! The push and pull between these two characters is incredible! I'm so glad we finally got to see the sweet, tender cinnamon roll we all knew was in Slade! Yay!!! I love the side characters in this one, too! Would I love it IF this was an MFM with Damian…of course, but I love it as is😉 I can't wait for all the revenge that is coming!! It's going to be glorious!!
Stefanie did a fantastic job!! She does the male & female parts really well!!
I was so excited to see this was dual narration, BUT to me, Nathaniel isn't the right voice for Slade😭 He has a voice that would make for a great villain or slimy bad guy. It's not the deep rich Alpha tone that I'd expect for Slade’s BDE😉

Thrilling
This was a thrilling follow up, Skylah & Slade have a crazy combustible chemistry, but that doesn’t mean there are circumstances threatening to tear them apart. This is full of spice, mind-blowing twists and turns, betrayal and so much more. It’s full of heartbreak, lies & a cliffhanger that will leave you breathless.

Another Wild Ride! Fantastic Story & Narration🎧
It is great to be back in Aston Creek for another exciting Sheridan Anne novel, the second in her “Aston Creek High” series. This book picks up where the first book, “Ugly Girl”, and is just as amazing and also a not to be missed story. Skylah and Slade’s relationship continues to grow, and we learn more about both of them. Slade’s mom confided in Skylah, and the two share something in common and agree to join forces to take Lucien Valentine down. They know stirring the pot will bring him back in their lives, and that is exactly what happens. He wants her brother Blake back, and he is going forward with his plan to marry her off when she turns eighteen. The twists and turns keep coming and there are more secrets revealed, betrayals too, one being very close to home. I am loving all the layers of this story and the complex web the author is weaving and you know there is so much more to come. There is never a dull moment in this book, the drama, angst, action, and steamy romance continues, emotions run high and there is an ending that leaves you wanting more. As always, the writing, plotting and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Sheridan Anne, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧 📚🎧And for the amazing narration, Nathaniel Gray joins Stefanie Kay for this second book, covering Slade’s chapters. Stefanie Kay's performances are consistently exceptional, and her portrayal of the characters is perfect. Nathaniel Gray does an amazing job as Slade, too. They sent the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the fantastic listen.

This series keeps getting better and better. I highly enjoyed this book. The narration was perfect and made the characters stand out more. The story was well written. The characters were multi dimensional. The storyline feels fresh and new. Just everything about this book really came together for me to make it an awesome listening experience.

Hang on to your seats!
I am so glad to get back to Aston Creek High! After the explosive first book, I needed more, and Sheridan Anne gave it to me! Skylah and Slade continue their relationship, but as feelings grow, secrets are released. Skylah and Slade's mother have kept things from Slade and when he finds out, all bets are off. Lucian is being taunted by these two, and they are hoping to get him out in the open. But Lucian has other plans. Anne has so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat that I couldn't stop listening! Slade is one for me that was hard to like, but as I get to know him better in this book, he has grown on my. Skylah is a strong woman, and she loves with her whole heart and is loyal to the core. I am loving this book, but the cliffhanger on this one has left me wanting!!!! I need Wild Girl to see where it goes next!
Stefanie Kay is amazing as she continues her narration of the series. She delves into these characters and creates the best voices for her characters. Each one is consistent from the first book, and she adds so much emotion and excitement that it's easy get caught up in the story. Nathaniel Gray pops in a couple of times as Slade, giving him a voice that is exactly as I hear him in my head. A bit alpha, a bit little boy, he finds the emotional turmoil Slade has. This is a great listen and one that should not be missed!
