Summary

"The Jewish people do not forgive...we do not forget."

It is the year 2000, and with the new millennium has come the fresh promise of peace in the Middle East.

But when a pair of IDF reservists are brutally lynched in the West Bank town of Ramallah - the graphic imagery of their final moments broadcast around the Western world...all hopes of peace are shattered.

As Israel mourns her dead and America attempts to salvage the peace process, the Mossad is tasked with finding and bringing to justice those responsible for the butchery, activating a Kidon team led by a young assassin known only as Ariel...

The "Lion of God".

But as the hunt narrows, it quickly becomes apparent that nothing is as it seems. And vengeance far from the only agenda in play....

The Lion of God trilogy represents an expansion of Stephen England's best-selling Shadow Warriors universe, and this volume includes all three previously-published individual episodes now compiled into a single volume.

A good story well read

The story was good but sometimes a little difficult to follow (but that could just be me)
The narrator was good but a little monotone at times which made it easy to drift off, saying that, he was good at accents which I like.

Awesome Entertainment

Lion of God: The Complete Trilogy is another excellent Thriller from best-selling author Stephen England, one of my all time favorite writers.

Set in the year 2000, the action follows closely the events surrounding the peace talks in the Middle East and when diplomacy goes down the drain, only those in the shadows can save the day.

Talented voiceover artist Colin Iago McCarthy returns once again to the battlefield of the Shadow Warriors as the narrator of choice for this series, delivering another great performance for this thrilling trilogy. He brings the story to life with vivid detail, reading, acting, keeping the action going and the entertainment flowing.

Reminiscent of the Steven Spielberg‘s Munich movie or the Gabriel Allon series by best-selling and award-winning author Daniel Silva, Lion of God is a blast from the first minutes to its last. I cannot recommend enough all Stephen’s works, but I assure you that when you’ll start, you will not be able to stop until you made your way through them all.

Masterpiece from a mastermind story teller

Yet again, Stephen England places you right in the middle of the fight. Through the turmoil of each characters past haunting them as carry out new missions that will inevitably leave indelible scars that will be carried with them into the next mission. All for the greater good. With every word on each page, you will find yourself unable to close this book until “The End”. Only then, you will be left with replaying each moment of this novel over and over in your mind.

Interesting!

This was my first time trying the historical genre, and I was blown away by the incredible accounts. Stephen England is an exceptional storyteller, he was able to captivate a novice like me. I was genuinely engaged and astounded by the details. Israeli and Palestinian conflict has lasted for over half of a century. And, the madness of it and the impact on the souls are utterly confounding. For those interested in the topic, I highly recommend this audiobook.

As for the narration, Colin Iago McCarthy does a stellar job capturing the narrative. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Very realistic and faithful to history of the time

A very good telling of the problems confronting Israel's existence as a nation. Author has definitely done his research into the area and the attitudes of people on both sides of the problem.

The characters and plot are well developed and told at a very good pace.
