great book but...

the narration is really annoying at times. the way the narrator speaks for male characters, specifically Mat, is much quieter than the rest so I had to constantly adjust the volume or rewind to catch what he/she said. at least she's consistent as this has been an issue for the entire series

Tons of tech difficulties

I think large parts of the story didn’t make sense because the book kept skipping and jumping. There would be portions of chapter repeating so many times I had to close and reopen the app. Still u sure who the culprit was.

Loved It

I have enjoyed every book in this series, and this one was no exception. Definitely gave me the heebie-jeebies, and a few goosebumps that is related to reptiles, but the story was very well done. I love how Bree is adjusting to being a mother figure to her niece and nephew. I also enjoy the developing relationship between her and Matt, as well as her brother and other members in the sheriff’s dept. Looking forward to the next installment.

Love the story but the sound design needs work

I really love this series and the characters. I've grown to love each of them and their close relationships. The narrator does a great job, as well.

However, for some reason, whenever "Matt" is speaking, it's at a lower volume than the rest of the characters. So either you can choose to be able to hear everyone fine and at a normal volume but have to listen hard to understand whatever Matt is saying OR everyone is yelling at your and you can pretty much understand what Matt is saying. It's so noticeable to me but maybe I just have bad ears or it's the fact that I'm not using headphones. I just don't think I should need to blast the audiobook just to hear some of the dialogue from a specific character.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the narrator, I just think they need to raise the levels or something whenever Matt is talking. Towards the end of this book it was almost comical how quiet it was every time Matt spoke.

Love this series!

I love the Bree Taggert books they are amazing! You can’t help but love the main characters and I love Bree and Matt together. The development of the characters is great and I love seeing them grow and become more of a family. The narrator for these books is always great and I can’t wait to read more in this series!

This book is another good murder mystery and the continuing of the lives of the characters.

I love this series by Melinda Leigh. The characters have become very dear to me. The series progresses and sheriff Bree Taggert
has gone through major losses in her life, some of the losses were at the cost of her family members. She has taken her sister’s children to raise and they are her family now. Her love partner almost losses his life in this book, bringing them closer then ever. There’s so much that happens in this book is that you don’t want to miss. It is definitely one of my favorite series. And the narration is fantastic!
