I liked some aspects of this audiobook, the story definitely had some exciting moments in it, and I liked the way the characters were portrayed and developed.

However, the narration left a lot to be desired, there was very little portrayal of the emotions the characters were going through and I just found it rather monotonous. I would say I enjoyed most of the story despite the narration, rather than because of it.

I also thought that the last couple of chapters, where the book morphs into a fantasy story rather disappointing.

slow to start then exciting
