Summary
She has never told anyone that she secretly longs for someone to come home to at night. A man who would be there for her when she feels sad, and when she needs someone to wrap their arms around her.
Katy Monroe is a 25-year-old defense lawyer from a small town in lower New York, who graduated at the top of her class from Stanton Law school in record time. She takes her job very seriously, and usually works so many hours that she barely sees her apartment more than three times a week. Unfortunately, she gives her heart to a man who could never possibly love her and ends up messing up everything horribly. Of course, that is precisely when she runs into someone from her past.
Jake Hollister is a man who Katy thought she could never be in the same room with, let alone be her roommate and saving grace. But of course, desperate times lead to desperate measures, as she finds in this romantic comedy of a man who always knows best, and a woman that should have known better.

Short, sweet romcom
This was a quick sweet book, the characters are likeable and at points you can relate to a bad day, date, past experiences that shape who you are. This isn’t my usual genre but I did enjoy and hope that this was an introduction to where this story could go. I think it’s suitable from young adult. I found the narrator was best at 1.2xspeed.

Enjoyable rom-com.
An enjoyable rom-com with likeable characters and an entertaining plot. Nicole Peterson narrated the book well.

I loved the narration of Nichole Peterson, who brings out the characters and romance.
In the past Katy was taunted by Jake in high school and when they run into each other again. When he hits her car after she runs a red light, Katy immediately remembers him. He can not remember the antsy from the past. Jake has done well for himself. When Katy tells him about the past, he is horrified. He makes a grand gesture to show Katy how much he cares. But he also throws her curve, when he requests her too marry him in order to retain his position as CEO of the company.

short sweet story
This was a very quick listen and well narrated felt as if the story was a little rushed and could have been longer but overall I really enjoyed it
