About this listen
After collapsing with exhaustion, and landing at the bottom of an escalator at Kings Cross station; Simon decided that his life needed to change. Now in his early 30s, he'd worked his way up the corporate ladder, but felt burnt out. In that moment, he decided to take a different path, focus on his passion, and start a new life plan.
In this book you will learn how Simon Coulson became a serial Internet business success story, and how you too could do the same. You will learn how he:
- Took redundancy from BT PLC and started his career again from scratch.
- Set up a series of home businesses, using nothing more than a laptop and an Internet connection. These businesses have gone on to generate over 20 million pounds.
- Has excelled in a range of different business areas, from plumbing to bonsai trees, yoga to electrical regulations, air conditioning to football, music to cleaning.
- Went from playing in a pub cover band to performing to audiences of 40,000 people!
- Created a company from scratch, and signed up Premier League football clubs as his clients within months.
- Was asked to speak at Oxford University to MBA students, despite coming from an OFSTED failing comprehensive school.
- Became an accidental international public speaker, speaking around the world to audiences of thousands, and sharing the stage with former president Bill Clinton, Sir Richard Branson, Tony Robbins and Lord Sugar.
- Bought his dream car, a brand new Ferrari (and how it wasn't all he hoped for!)
- Got to travel in helicopters to the Grand Prix and to an exclusive sting gig in Monaco.
- Started to write his own music, and how his first original song performance was at the largest arena in Europe, the London O2 Arena!
- Holidayed on Richard Branson's private Necker Island and hung out with Sir Richard himself.

Great stories and great motivation.
Great Read/Listen. Would recommend attending a day workshop to pick up lots of nuggets of advise, looking forward to attending a course next year.

Practical, inspiring & full of useful anecdotes
As an avid audible member who listens to a minimum of three audiobooks per month (plus multiple podcasts and video training), I was excited to see this new book by respected industry expert Simon Coulson.
I always like to learn from those who are walking their talk and this doesn't fail to deliver. If you want to get insider ideas combined with a winners mindset this is well worth the price of a drink.
Have also just bought a physical copy as an Xmas present for a friend who has been talking about leaving his day job for over two years but is yet to act..... hopefully this book will help him move to the next level.

inspirational
I'm glad Simon decided to narrate the book himself as he has an easy to listen to style and I think more of the emotion comes across that way.
I have been a customer of the internet business school for a few years now and hearing Simon's story again has certainly inspired me. while I have no aspirations to reach the dizzy heights Simon has, I do hope to have a little something going to fund the extras when I retire in a couple of years. Simon has certainly shown that it is possible.
if you have ever wanted to have a business of your own, but now wanted to go down the conventional route, I can highly recommend this book.

Highly recommended
I have listened more than once and now purchased a hard copy. Hope to attend Simon's training school shortly. I met Simon at his presentation, he is genuine and gave so much advice and information on setting up yourself.

Inspiring, great to listen to, honest and up front
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It's sometimes difficult to find a 'real' person that's made a success of their life - there are so many books around that are full of hype - so I'd recommend this one as it's down to earth.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favourite bits were reading about why not to buy a Ferrari or a Porsche - and how Simon's not had his head turned by his success - and preferred a hot dog to a posh dinner!
What about Simon Coulson and Rosko Lewis ’s performance did you like?
Nicely done, and easy on the ear.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Work hard, follow someone else's success pattern (ie Simon's), keep at it and build your own business online.
Any additional comments?
THere's a lot of self help and I got rich books around but this one is the most down to earth. I thorougly enjoyed listening to it. I also have the paperback as I wanted to write notes in the margins.

Love it and it’s I understand better now that I’m listening for the 2nd time!
I listened via audio the first time and it was a great book but now it’s sooo relevant and I definitely will reread again for a third time when it’s all quiet around me and I have a pen and paper to hand. I listen to Gary vee and felt pumped but Simon you give so much information away that I can actually practice. This makes your audio book much better than his. Thanks Simon and I will find you .. to say thank you in person!

Constant selling of his services. A real shame.
I was interested in hearing his story, which was a little interesting but was spoilt by the constant selling of his seminars and courses throughout the book. And the "so called" testimonials sounded like a commercial from Barry Scott.
I really don't know how he has the nerve to charge for a book that just sells to you the whole time.
What a real shame as I believe his story could have been inspirational to many.

it's ok but you are better off using google
Simon seems like a nice guy. average book if you want to make a living selling info products and running how to seminars. hardly rocket science and information you can easily find on the web. it amazes me how many people part with hard earned cash just because they are too lazy to google the information themselves.
For a man who made his money with websites i have taken a look at a few of them and amazed by how badly designed and built they are. It also staggers me how he has shared the stage with the likes of Richard Branson who I consider a true entrepreneur. All that said...he sound like a nice chap.
