About this listen

The oligarchy of Overlords battling to resurrect alien rule on Earth remains ever threatened by a group of rebels determined to meet the ancient Sumerian enemies with a show of force. While glimmers of containment, if not victory, have appeared, humanity still inhabits a world where buried secrets and impossible truths lie coiled in the shadows....

An Annunaki artifact of staggering multidimensional power is discovered, presaging an attack of a magnitude beyond anything the Cerberus rebels have ever encountered. In the secret Arctic laboratory of a brilliant 20th-century adventurer, a pulsating alien dagger rips a portal deep into time and space. Emerging from the breach, breathtaking beings of Light appear like antibodies to close the rupture. But these wondrous Angels have their own solution to healing the infinity breach — the complete eradication of mankind.

Performed by Terence Aselford, Nanette Savard, Zeke Alton, Richard Rohan, Chris Genebach, Tracy Olivera, Carolyn Kashner, Tia Shearer, Lily Beacon, Christopher Scheeren, Nora Achrati, David Jourdan, Michael John Casey, Bradley Smith, Colleen Delany, Tony Nam, Scott McCormick, Paul Reisman, Michael Glenn, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Mort Shelby, Ken Jackson.

Sticks out like a sore thumb

I LOVE the series, but who did they get in to write this one? It’s the worst episode by some distance of the series. Character arcs built over 50+ books go out the window. Kain suddenly turns into some dribbling goofball and lapdog to Bridget. The has way more “dialogue”, but it is all subservient to Bridget and he’s suddenly dumb AF. At one point the character actually literally says “I am kind of the leader, but it’s Bridget who calls the shots”. Since when??? It only does she have the skills built up over her lifetime and previous episodes, she is now also the world’s leading expert at EVERYTHING.
The story (there are a few other ones, but at least with the consistent characters) is a TOTALLY pointless side quest. So far into the series (and close to the conclusion???), that is just not appropriate. The dialog doesn’t flow either. It’s like the actors all spoke in their bit at home and then later it was edited together to create the dialogue. Klunky. A female Consortium character is just super nice and helpful as well. Sounds wrong as well? Indeed it does.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
