Summary

The Legacy Mobster

Fallon Maher is falling for the most unlikely person. Aspen is handsome, but he’s quiet, while Fallon is the opposite and talks enough to irritate everyone. The two men dance around their feelings, but when Fallon is injured while on a job for their boss, Aspen charges into the line of fire to help him.

The Man Who Kills for The Irish Mob Boss

Aspen Kavanagh observes before he formulates a plan to act, and he sees how much Fallon struggles to be what is necessary to survive in the Killough Company. He’s too kind for this type of work, but with the right training, he will be okay. Cillian, Rowen, and Aspen have no trouble taking lives, but it’s clearly something Fallon will need help to learn. Between Fallon getting hurt and his obvious struggle with killing, Aspen is afraid that Fallon will be removed from the Company.

Loving Against All Odds

Fallon and Aspen get closer as Fallon recovers from an injury, but then all hell breaks loose in New York City’s criminal underground. People are dead, buildings are destroyed, and business plans are ruined for more than one mob. The Irish boss, Sloan Killough, wants answers and revenge. Fallon is too injured to go out and prove himself in the ensuing chaos, but all Aspen can think about is him as he soldiers on and follows the orders of his boss. Will Aspen be able to find a way to keep Fallon with the Company, and more importantly, with him? Or will Killough’s killers have to say good-bye to their apprentice?

How Did You Survive Alone? must be listened to as part of the Irish Roulette series to get the most enjoyment out of the story. The book does not end on a cliff-hanger, but there are more Irish mob stories to come from Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory!

Good surprise

I absolutely loved the first 2 books and the narration was outstanding. I was really disappointed learning that this one had a new narrator. But he didn’t disappoint. The narration is amazing and totally do this fantastic book justice! I adore these guys and enjoyed getting to know Aspen and Fallon better - I can’t wait to to get to know Cillian in the next one!!

it just keeps getting better!!

The connections, the wit, the intrigue, the passion. These men are becoming my favorites.

So much happens and as these 5 men grow closer, they have to face so much. The story focuses on their growing connections while keeping you on the edge one minute and then laughing the next.

With Fallon and Aspen the 'focus' of this story, it's clear each of these men are forming strong connections outside of Vail and it's fantastic. I can't wait for more!! This series is totally addictive!!!

Irish Roulette

I love the dynamics of these 5 men, it just works so well. Brilliantly written and narrated well with a new Narrator, which I enjoyed. Can't wait for the next instalment, hopefully none of the MC's get as hurt as Fallon did in this one. My heart won't take it

Good continuation

This is a continuation of the Killough story focusing mainly on Fallon. He doesn’t quite fit in with most of the members of the Killough Company. He has no problem being a MMA fighter and winning but when it comes to torture and killing, it doesn’t fit who he is. He worries that he will not make it as part of the Company. He does what he feels he needs to so that the other members accept him.
Aspen has feelings he has trouble accepting. He does his best to not only support Fallon but to do things for him while looking out for him. Aspen goes out of his way to make Fallon happy. He takes him to a fight even though Vail isn’t real happy there.
Vail is another small part of this story. He is compared to Fallon quite a lot. Where Vail was more the center of the past stories he is really secondary here.
Then there is the side part with Cillian and Rowen. I was surprised how little jealousy there was in this group. Even though these guys are as brothers, even brothers draw a line at a certain point. Not so with these guys.
I believe the narration of Keval Shah gave the story more reality. The only part I felt he didn’t seem to fit was of the boss. He just didn’t seem to sound as I felt he should but that could be a personal opinion. I enjoy the audio editions of stories usually more than the book so I felt overall he did a good job.

really enjoyable

this book focus on Aspin and Fallon and how they create a connection in the poly relationship that's happening throughout the series (you def need to read in order). It deals with Fallon's need to be seen, his health issues both his diabetes as well as what happened in the pervious book along with something big happening in the world. I really enjoyed the narration, I thought Kavel Shah did a great job

FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Where do I even begin? I absolutely loved how Fallon's and Aspen's characters develop as well as their relationship. They were hot from the beginning and it only got hotter. What I did not expect was the development between Cillian, Rowen and Fallon. Vail continues to have the very best sexy ideas.

Keval Shah did a great job with this narration, I didnt feel like I miss out on anything because it wasn't Mac Rae.

I like reading the descriptions about a book before I listened but I wish I didn't for this book. From the description, I could tell Fallon would be hurt somehow and the wait drove me alittle crazy but that's just me. Also, it says no Cliff-hangers but I wanna know how Miami is going.

I absolutely can't wait to see what happens next for everyone in the company.

Amazing third book

Let's address the two elephants in the room. First, is a saga, so book 1 and 2 are needed to FULLY understand the story (you can still enjoy it if this is the start, but chronological is better)
And second, well, the narrator change is noticeable, but he is very talented. If you go and try to compare them, you will have a bad time, because Keval has his own style of doing things, while being respectful of details and stays in character. If you are able to enjoy the new voice, the story is enthralling and so good in many ways, his modulation, tones, voices, everything necessary for an audiobook with as many characters as this one, is there and comes with a lot of talent.
Beautiful, steamy story by great authors that have never disappointed and every character is built so nicely, it's totally worth it all

Keep this series going!!!

This is the 4th book in the series and has a different narrator than the first three. At first I couldn’t listen b/c I had become attached to Killian and Rowen’s Irish brogue.
But, after letting a week go by between book 3 and book 4, I was able to listen, and soon found pleasure in this narrator as well.
This is ultimately a polyamorous relationship between a group of mob enforcers and a college professor in New York, current day.
The professor’s research into mobs in American history gets too close to current reality and he’s almost assassinated.
Fortunately for him, he’s lusted after by the different men in the Killiough group.
Lots of blood, torture, and athletic sex is woven into a 4 book series that develops each character and is entertaining enough for me to listen without interruption, except for sleep.
I hope this author duo keeps the series going…… we gotta know what happens in Miami at least!

Another great addition to the series

The third book in the series focuses on the developing relationship between Aspen and Fallon. The strong and often silent Aspen has slowly been falling for Fallon's beauty and charm. Fallon is the newbie determined to find his place in the Killough Company. With Vail's encouragement the two grow closer together. On assignment, Fallon takes his first life but gets seriously injured in the process. The action continues to escalate as the Killough Company is under attack and Sloan is looking for answers. Cillian and Rowen are also starting to see Fallon in a new light while they continue with his Mafia training. It will be interesting to see how all these men continue to develop their relationships. I can't wait for the next book! Keval Shah did a wonderful job with all these sexy accents. He brought life to the characters and excitement to the story.

Great Series

I love this series each book shows more and more the personality of each man of Killough Company. This book deals mostly with Fallon trying to find his place among these virile men. At times dark with Fallon trying to hold his own while at the same time getting closer to Aspen. New relationships are initiated to HEA. The narrator was excellent

I really love these men!!

I enjoyed this new narrator more than I initially thought I would. It did take some time to get use to the slight differences between him and Mac but overall, I liked him.

I’ve said it before and now I’ll say it again…I love Aspen!! I knew he had a sweet side that wasn’t just for Vail and I absolutely love his relationship with Fallon. Those two are perfect for each other. Aspen is so quiet and Fallon never stops talking, they are just what the other needs. I loved all the epilogues and I am soooo intrigued with where Cillian and Fallon’s relationship will go and let’s talk about Lor…what is going on with him?? I want his story almost as bad as want to see what Cillian and Aspen get up to in Miami!! So many more fun stories to come!!

A deeper connection

Being the third book in this Roulette series, we get to learn about Aspen and Fallon on a deeper level.
Fallon always hid behind his talkative persona and when Aspen sees the deeper layers of him, he can’t help but be drawn to him. Encouraged by Vail, they get to build something unique and meaningful to themselves.

Woven into this fast paced plot is the escalating mob drama, well loved previous characters and the dynamics of these mens poly relationship.
This non cliffhanger ending was fantastic but I'm still so eager for more of this series.

The change in narrator from the previous two books does take some time to get accustomed to, but Keval does an outstanding job of bringing so many characters to life. I particularly enjoyed his vocalizations of Sloan.
A really enjoyable, engrossing tale to listen to.

Fantastic

I was super excited when this audio book was announced I checked everyday. Finally I was able to get a code and I immediately started listening.

Because the voice had changed, it took me a minute to get used to and accept the change, but no matter what it still remained amazing. So amazing that I fell in love with the new voice.

I love this story and can not wait to see where it takes us next, and I hope to hear more from the amazing voice.

The only problem I had with the entire thing was the word 'insulin' but just because it was pronounced differently than how I would say it, doesn't mean its wrong, just difficult for me to get used to.

Overall a great read!! I highly recommend this series!

How Did You Survive Alone?

In March I listened to the first two books back to back and was really used to Mac Rae’s lovely narration and character voices. So it was a bit jarring and it took me a solid three to four hours into this narration before I got used to Keval’s voice, although I will admit, I’m still not used to how deep Vail’s voice is in this one.

Love the story, even the cringey parts.

Highly recommend and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

loved it

I loved this book. Keval Shah's voice really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. I loved the first two books. I love how Fallon and Aspen grow closer in this book. Fallon really struggles to find his way and survive in the Killough Company. When Fallon is hurt and has trouble with killing Aspen fears Fallon wont be in the Company much longer. Chaos hits New York City’s criminal underground and causes trouble for the Killough Company. They can't survive alone but will they survive together?
