Summary
On the heels of her smash hit and New York Times best-selling Screwed series, Kendall Ryan brings you Hitched, a romantic comedy that delivers heart and heat.
Marry the girl I've had a crush on my whole life? Check. Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check. Produce an heir.... Wait, what?
I have 90 days to knock up my brand-new fake wife. There's only one problem - she hates my guts. And in the fine print of the contract is the requirement that we produce an heir.
She can't stand to be in the same room with me. She says she'll never be in my bed. But I've never backed down from a challenge, and I'm not about to start now. Mark my words - I'll have her begging for me, and it won't take 90 days.

Immature and vulgar
I have a niggling suspicion, that this book was written by a horny teenager. Such immaturity and vulgarity I have never seen before. A guy wips out his junk just to show of its' size? Are you kidding me? And this should be steamy and romantic?
Not to mention that the male narrators' voice was getting on my nerves, cause he sounded as the self absorbed narcisist, but I should note that this persona was in line with the horrible "prince charming" of the story, so maybe it was intentional.
All in all, I hated it and do not recommend.

time wasting
Could not finish the book. The narrators were absolutely worlds apart, like they were not even reading the same story. "Olivia" talks about being intimate with the same passion of me reading a banana bread recipe when i don't even like bananas. "Noah" is like that guy you find at the bus stop ranting about politics but no one actually listens. No sexual tension, nothing left for the imagination.
Besides the medieval idea for a plot, that women and men are like cattle, used only for advantageous partnerships and bread to consolidate that, it feels like the author is actually a middle aged man who is not 100% how bodies work, the descriptions of the "intense" scenes come out of nowhere, no idea where this passion or lust comes from, there's no build up, no depth, the descriptions are vulgar, not sexy. Also, who uses the word "schmuck" anymore?
Would most definitely not give this book nor author another try.

Cliffhanger
It was a good storyline, but I hate Cliffhangers and wouldn’t have bothered if I had realised. So from that perspective it was disappointing.

A tad dissapointed
well I really did enjoy the storyline however didn't enjoy the cliffhanger? but what really narked me was starting book 2 to completely different narrator? book 1 I had already built Noah and Olivia in my head so when I started book 2 I was really disappointed to hear a more rugged, harsh voice? who really does not fit the storyline and I can't see him being kind?? I just hope I can get pass that and now I'm already thinking that I'm going to have to get used to another different narrator in book 3 if I can finish book 2?

Cliffhanger Alert!!!
I hate cliffhangers. If the next story was not available for me to listen straight away, I wouldn't evan to give it a star. I am so disappointed with the way it ended.
Update.
I have finished reading books two and three, and I am pleased with the future development of the story and the way it ended. Despite all of that, I would prefer the whole story was in one book. Cliffhanger series is not for me. Give me a series with individual book as a stand alone and I am happy. Even more so, if they intertwine so I can catch up with the characters in the previous books.
If you don't mind cliffhanger, the three stories combined are actually good.

Poor story and have to read the rest of series
The storyline seems forced and doesn’t bring you on their journey. Book just ends mid storyline so you have to listen to the next books.

boring characters and a cliffhanger
this book was pretty boring, predictable and left us on a cliffhanger which is crappy because I don't care enough about the characters to bother with book 2. waste of time. avoid.

Part of 3 volumes
Story not bad but I don't like it when the full story isn't completed and it isn't clear at time of picking that you have to purchase 2 other volumes...bad form!

Cliff Hanger ending forces you to buy 2 more books
What would have made Hitched better?
A full complete novel would have been nice?
I like the idea of the story line, it has potential. It moved too slow to take place in over 1 months time. It should have been written as a complete novel instead of 3 installments. Noah and Olivia were family friends who grew up together and now need to get married per a will/contract as designed by each of their fathers. The problem is Noah is a player and Olivia was hurt by her former boyfriend. Olivia was also burned by Noah when she was 19 and in college and drunk, he rejected her advances. He always wanted her but in reality he didn't want to be used, because at the time Olivia was still a virgin and was saddened by her mothers battle with cancer. Noah put a stop to it. She left hurt. Fast forward to years later Noah's Dad has passed on and the board wants to take over the struggling company. Fred, Olivia's dad is navigating Noah through contract.
Olivia is fighting this because she feels that she can turn the company around with hard work. She doesn't want to be forced into marriage, she wants the fairytale.
What do you think your next listen will be?
It probably will be a different author.
How could the performance have been better?
Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton did a fine job.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
My reaction is disappointment.
I assumed this was a one and done novel, it ended in a cliff hanger? I have enough interest in the couple and their story to continue reading but I really am disappointed this couldn't have been wrapped up in one book.
.
Any additional comments?
I hate this new style of greed publishing where Authors or their publishers try to rake their readers out of more money by giving us snippets of story and expect us to keep purchasing more snippets of story to tell the full story. This appears to be another situation of this style of publishing. I have already stopped reading HM Ward(The Arrangement) and Beth Kery (Because you are mine) because they do this too. I guess Kendall Ryan will be the third author I stop reading.
I will pay good money for a good FULL story but this nickel and dime publishing mentality is crap.

All cliffhanger books should be labeled as such
I despise cliffhanger endings. I resent investing hours of time, if I'm enjoying the book, and being left with no ending in sight.

Long enough! Excellent story! Excellent narration but just not long enough; especially with a CLIFFHANGER!

Teddy Hamilton sounds like a horny teenager. Cliffhanger ruined it. Won't buy the sequel! Disappointed.

Hitched: Imperfect Love, Book 1
I was disappointed in the ending of this book. It left me hanging, am I going to rush out and purchase Book 2? No, I can just imagine I’d have to buy more than one more book to get to the ending. Yuck!

Did not hit the spot
I thought the premise of the novel was good. There are some books I listen to and afterwards I have to go back and listen to a part or buy the paper book because the book was so good. This is not one of them. I felt a lot of the dialog was in the heads of the characters. In my opinion the book is missing the quality that keeps a listener captivated. The book ends with a cliffhanger; usually cliffhangers leave me wanting more for this book it was kind of abruptly. I wish their journey was more exciting…
If you are low on credits I would safe the credit.

I hated this book so much I became a communist
Was I already angry about wealth inequality in America due to Covid 19 highlighting the fact that workers mean less to rich ppl than the stock market does? Yes. But within the first two minutes the romantic ~hero~ was like "I make a fat 6 figure income" and then bragged about getting "free upgrades" and I had to sit down and think about my damn life.
5 stars for such vomit- and epiphany-inducing levels of douchebaggery that i had to reevaluate my entire moral compass
