Head and shoulders above the rest, best thriller for a long time!

I really enjoyed this audiobook which also featured one of the best narrators I have heard for a long time who gave a wonderful performance. I love a good thriller but find so many these days are sketchy affairs which seems to have been dashed off without much thought. However Her Perfect Life had real meat on its bones to get stuck into with well developed charaters, great plots and sub plots and really intelligently and thoroughly thought out. In fact so many interwoven plots I am really hoping that there will be a sequel as certainly I would love to see where the main character goes from here and find out the remaining mystery. Excellent all round and I am hoping perhaps this sort of standard of writing and narration will be sought after by publishers in future now the bar has been raised.

Could not carry on listening

I started this book 3 times over, as it kept seeming to not make sense, but then I realised that's just the way the book is. Its like trying to listen to 4 different books at once and wondering why they don't 'gel together'. Too many peoples names were being mentioned, people that I didn't have a clue who they were, or where they came into it. Also the narrator's voice sounded the same for every character, male/female, young/old which just added to all of the above. I think maybe just reading this book would be better than trying to listen to it

Good enough for a holiday read

Would you try another book written by Sam Hepburn or narrated by Stephanie Racine?

Possibly

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Not the ending I was prepared for - not necessarily the one I would have liked either!

Have you listened to any of Stephanie Racine’s other performances? How does this one compare?

N/A

Was Her Perfect Life worth the listening time?

Yes - I enjoyed listening to it in the car

Enjoyable, but confused by end

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book, and there was a good amount of intrigue built up during it. I worked out the 'twist' fairly early on, but the ending left me confused! Don't want to put spoilers, but I just didn't get, other than a wild guess, who might have sent the postcard? Is the author deliberately leaving the way open for a sequel??!.....

What a book!

I could not leave this book for long. Almost listened non stop.
An incredible story, so well handled with intricate manoeuvres. I did not see the outcome until the very end...and then a twist appeared. Stephanie Racine narrated the story perfectly and I felt as though I was living it alongside the action throughout. Thank you.
