Great insights as always
Narration not as good as the other market wizard books (reckon the narrator doesn’t have any knowledge of the markets) but insights from traders that shouldn’t be missed.

Great book, poor narration
Great book but the narrator would be better suited to a Neil Gaiman book. His voice does not suit this type of book, it's too dramatic and dark like he's narrating a horror book. The content is great as always with the Market Wizards series but this audiobook is difficult to listen to because of the above.

Terrible narrator, great content
The content in the book is amazing like the rest of the series but the switch to this narrator is just awful. It made it extremely difficult to get through the book as his complete lack of emotion and distinguishing between who was talking made it feel like a textbook rather than the terrific narration we have been used to from DJ Holte who narrates the other books in the series. The interviews themselves are great but I am giving up on the audible version and might buy the kindle version instead. Audible, please bring back DJ Holte for any future books!

Bad narrator
This mw book has a different narrator to the other mw books. I loved the narrator in the other books, he changed voices and it was engaging. this guy makes me want to gouge out my eyes with a dull spoon. Amazon, i could narrate better than this.

So much timeless wisdom
Excellent book for a novice to a pro. Like going to lunch with the worlds best traders and picking their brains. First book I’ve read in the market wizards series and ready to start the next one. I feel like I’m a better trader and investor after digesting this great work.

Know your trading background before buying/reading
As with all Market Wizard books there's lots of gems in the profiles.
Though this version is obviously skewed to hedge funds then retail traders. More emphasis on: macro/fundamentals, systematic/quant setups, deeper economic and intrinsic dives, etc.
If you're retail, believe you'll gain much more from the other books in the series. This is one where I found myself skipping sections and definitely walked away with the least amount of bookmarks compared to the other Wizard books.

Not a new version. Boring Narrator. Good book!
This is not a new version. it is the same version I bought before 2020. Same narrator that puts me to sleep. The other narrator of Market Wizard has better way of narrating.
The book interviews on the other hand are good. 40 lessons from fund managers! What's not to like??
More about learning from their experience, mistakes, etc. But if you want to learn the basics of hedge fund and trading, not this book. Also, I find them less open in the interview. It's like they don't wanna give away much information unless you pay them. They just wanna put their name out there but what their trade secret is exactly that - a trade secret.
Also the Chapters are labelled by numbers only. I was expecting it to be labeled by the name of the person being interviewed.

Originals vs this Hedge Fund Book
The Originals were more about traders; this, while still interesting, was more about mathematicians turned computer programmers designing algo's to beat the market.. interesting the difference in mentality from hedge fund mgrs vs traders or investors.

Just WOW of market and Trader knowledge.
I'm a day trader but I'm always seeking knowledge about the market. This brought the "wow" wisdom and experience that I seek out. My brain felt full and fulfilled. It's also very well done audio and I thank you for time in producing the audio version.

This series is fascinating
The most important thing to take away from this series of books is that every investor/trader has to find their own way.
The book also demystifies the financial world for those unfamiliar with it.
Apart from that it's just interesting and chuck full of good advice.
Schwager is a really good interviewer in that he consistently asks the questions that pop up into my own head when they do pop up, and I guess he knows the right people to interview.

Great writing, but mediocre narrator
The narrator does not pronounce financial terms correctly. For example, arbitrage is pronounced arbitruj...so annoying! He will also put you to sleep with his monotone voice and lack of diversity. But the book is good!
