Summary
Henry VIII is dead, and history will never be the same.
The year is 1536. Three claimants vie for his throne: Anne Boleyn, who fights for her young daughter, Elizabeth; Mary Tudor, who sees the hand of Providence at work; and Henry FitzRoy, the king's illegitimate but recognized son.
Factions form, and battles are fought over who will win the crown.
Will this war tear the kingdom apart, or will a ruler emerge victorious who can unite England?
This is a full-length alternate history novel.

As a Tudor history enthusiast, I really enjoyed this audiobook. The story was engaging and entertaining even without the added interest of the historical 'what if'. I particularly enjoyed the multiple perspectives, especially as they are characters often overlooked by other Tudor novels.
This book was given to me free of charge in exchange for a review.

No More Henry - Now That Is a Good Start
I have never been a fan of the Tudors (before or after their time yes but in real life history I glossed over their time - ok in novel set in the time period that did not involve the monach directly, so a book that gives a history of what happened if Anne doesn't die because Henry himself died at the jourst where he had been injured but eventually recovered, sounded appealing to me.
This book covers the aftermath of the kngs death and the battle of who ended up on the throne plus aa brief glimpse three years after the events.
I enjoyed it, each charactor brought to life as near as what is actually known about the, with of course artistic license,
Not a long book so can comfortably listened to in a day and more the enjoyable for that I found - as listened to it twice, once spread over a few days and once in an afternoon and story sat better second time but maybe its because I already knew the story so just filled any bits I had not clearly taken in when stopping and starting over a couple of days.
I hope the author writes more books with alternative timelines or indeed continues this one and follows through what changes could come about with no Henry VIII.
I came back to add my review of the narrator without whom this audiobook would not be possible. Lillian Rachel, made the book come alive via her voice and made it a very pleasurable experiance to listen to
I did receive this book for free but my review is honestly given and no coloured by how I aquired the book

All Hail Queen Regent, Anne Boleyn!
Unlike many alternate history books that go along feeling predictable with expecting directions, this one doesn't. I have always wondered what might have happened if Henry the Eight had died in his fateful jousting accident, and this book does give the reader an exciting "What If..." tale of the aftermath of his death. Listening to the audio book version of this, while no audio drama, was worth it.

Could have been so much better
The plot idea was great, but the actual writing of this story not so much. There could have been so much done with this story line but it was boring when there should have been tons of excitement.
