About this listen
Plague and devastation ravage the Mortal Realms, but there is hope yet, for Sigmar's Stormcast Eternals are paragons of justice and retribution.
In Ghyran and the lands of Rotwater Blight, Lord-Castellant Grymn fights on, not only to avenge the death of Lord-Celestant Gardus but also to find the Hidden Vale of Alarielle, the Radiant Queen and ruler of the sylvaneth. Only with her aid can the pestilence that ails the land be turned back.
Returning to the Hanging Valleys of Anvrok, Thostos Bladestorm is much changed, but he also carries a weighty truth...he has found Ghal Maraz, the great hammer of Sigmar itself. Reunited with Vandus Hammerhand, these two heroes and their warriors must conquer the Eldritch Fortress of Tzeentch and overthrow the dreaded Kairos Fateweaver if they are to retrieve this mighty artefact.

pretty decent
I came straight off the back of Plague Garden, which was amazing, hearing the different voices for the hallowed knights was initially quite jarring but I got used to it and the VAs range of voices is pretty impressive, top quality stuff. I would definitely recommend Plague Garden though, the stories in this were entertaining but definitely didn't have the same level of character development as PG, which is to be expected of 2 3hr stories Vs 1 12hr story.
I had fun though and it was Def worth a credit for some context and lore.

Good Fantasy Action
In typical Black Library fashion, this is an entertaining popcorn book. nothing too hard to follow and perfect to relax to while painting or travelling. If you're a warhammer fan then seriously consider this.

Nostalgia at its finest!
Enjoyed the characters in these tales. I loved hearing the stories that were told at the beginning of the release of AoS, it brings back strong memories that I enjoyed hearing again... loved the Tzeentch elements.

Few surprises but solid storytelling
The story is what I have come to expect of the Realmgate Wars series. Classic Stormcast bashing fun, but with some suspense as well.
There are some minor cases of plot armour when it comes to the main protagonists, which becomes more apparant as the series continues, but not overwhelmingly so.
The story archs were interesting, both for the stakes put up by the characters, but also from a world building standpoint. Maybe it was just me, but I had a hard time visualizing some of the more outlandish vistas, but maybe I just was not paying enough attention. The reader was solid, with feeling and enough characterization of the different voices to help keeping the characters apart. I had a good time.
