Summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a second-chance small-town romance.

Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months, and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again.

Until years later, when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help.

The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight.

Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.

Awesome narrators!

This book has a lot more going on than what’s on the surface and I am all for it! What seems like a second chance, small town romance turns into a much bigger story with unexpected twists. This book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone but I would definitely recommend the series.

Short and sweet

I loved the first two in this series so much. This wasn’t bad at all. Just too simple for me compared to the first two books. Still enjoyed it and can’t wait for the fourth book! I love this world!

In Love with The Edens!

Garnet Flats was an excellent read! Book by book, I’m becoming so invested in The Edens. Devney Perry created such vastly different elements of suspense in each of these stories…I enjoy contemporary romance with some suspense, and DP just gets it right for me every time! Garnet Flats isn’t as suspenseful as the previous books in the series, but focuses more on Foster’s fight to win back the love of Talia. Even though most won’t find Foster’s profession as an MMA fighter relatable, DV crafted Foster to be the perfect mix of strength, humility, and loyalty…with a good amount of sexy thrown in…I found Foster totally refreshing as an H. Talia, who’s dealt with years trying to forget Foster, shares the Eden values of family, dedication, and hard work, but she’s closed herself in many other ways because of the depth of her pain from Foster’s betrayal years ago. As in all DV books, Garnet Flats ends with a satisfying HEA. I love how DV’s epilogues bring the story full circle, but also tempt me with a tidbit of where the next book is headed…I can’t wait for the release of Jasper Vale! I’m primed to reread her earlier series while I wait,

Garnet Flats is written in first person with dual POVs. Cindy Kay is a new-to-me narrator. Paired with Connor Crais their performances are stellar!

I'd Like to Live in Quincy!

I really loved this story. The narration was excellent! I liked this story so much that I used another credit for another book in the series. And I am stingy when it comes to using my credits!

Wonderful Second Chance

Foster came to get a second chance with Talia. I like how the Eden family sticks up for each other and love each other unconditionally no matter what. Devney Perry writes such wonderful books. I can't wait for the next one. Connor Crais and Cindy Kay did a great job narrating.

Love

I think this is my favorite Eden book so far!!! I love second chance books but was really worried especially in the beginning when I realized Foster had left Talia to marry her roommate and they were married almost 7 years! Without giving anything away, Foster comes to Montana determined to win his Tally back. Considering it was her trust he needed to win back and not her heart, he had A LOT of work to do! Devney did an amazing job with this book!

I wanted it to be better

I am a huge fan of Devney Perry where I do not hesitate when it comes to purchasing her books, but with that said I am on the fence about this one. The actual story line is much better than the delivery of it. Foster had a much better story that Talia who came across as whiney and insecure to me, I get why she was that way but the constant review of her thoughts was annoying, way too much overthinking out loud. Of the series this one is my least favorite. I wanted to like it way more than I did. I do feel that Jasper and Emila have a story coming.

Loved the storyline

Loved the storyline, and the way this was put together.
BUT, wrong female narrator.
I know this narrator was used in another book written by this Author and I didn’t mind her as much.
This time it just made my teeth grind whenever she started speaking, completely wrong for the character.

Normally I would listen to Devney Perry’s books a few times, but I will struggle to listen to this one again.

Disappointed 😢
