This full-time freelancer highly approves!
"Freelancer's Roadmap from Beginner to $1 Million" by Michael Wu is genuinely impressive. Full disclosure - I have been a full-time freelancer for over 2 years, so I have my own perspective of what works and what doesn't. That said, Wu mostly hits it out of the park.
The audiobook is narrated by a clear and engaging American male voice. The impression is one of youth, but mixed with valuable experience. I think the 11-step roadmap laid out in the book is well-thought-out. There is nothing that I would call "bad advice" for anyone interested in freelancing. It seemed to me that the practical guidance and real-life examples shared by the author should be incredibly helpful and easy to apply.
(Very) importantly, this book wasn't just about making money. It spent a lot of time talking about achieving a fulfilling work-life balance, which is often one of the toughest things about freelancing full-time.
The narrator's way of explaining things made complex ideas easy to understand, and I found myself looking forward to listening to each new chapter just to see whether Wu's take on freelancing matched my own. For the most part, it does. But even in some of the little things that we might disagree on as "best practices," Wu's reasoning is always sound, and these issues are more an issue of preference. When it comes to the big issues like understanding what freelancing actually is, what it entails, building client relationships, scaling, etc., Wu is completely on point!
This audiobook is an excellent resource that should give anyone the confidence to pursue freelancing with a clear plan in mind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to kickstart or scale their freelance career. It's a well-done rundown of all the most important information and mindset advice you need!

Useful guide
Highly helpful book that details everything you need to know about freelancing if you're not sure where to begin. It clearly lays out the steps to reach 7 figures; of course there'll be slip-ups, but this book is the perfect companion and will make your freelancing journey as smooth as possible.
