Summary
Through good times, bad times, and times of war, Cole “Rush” Allen grew up in the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Along this journey, he watched his father, Tack, and his MC brothers fight, sweat, bleed, and die to steer the club to legitimacy. And they’ve got one more battle on their hands. A battle they have to win.
But when Rush meets the woman who put herself right in the thick of it, he knows he has to stop at nothing to get her out.
Rebel Stapleton has lost someone she loves to murder, and she’s the kind of woman who’s going to do something about it. She puts her career on the line, and her life, to bring the man who did it to justice.
That is, she does this until Rush Allen intervenes.
Chaos is at war, and they’re about to face the ultimate showdown. They’ll have to negotiate skeletons from the past, enemies becoming allies, and loved ones in the line of fire on their ride to be...free.

Wow wonderful ending
Absolutely loved Rush and Rebel’s story, but the book was also a tie in to finish off the series.
We meet all the old characters, so well worth a reread to remember their stories or it can get complicated.
This book pure KA magic I started to read the Kindle version and couldn’t bare to put it down so bought Audible version to carry on .

It'll always be a winner from Kristen Ashley!
With each book she writes, Krusten Ashley just seems to get better. You know a good author when you're gripped bythe first 2 pages you've read. Hubby hates it when I say I'm about to read KA's new novel, because he knows he'll barely get 2 words of sense from me, for the next 24 or possibly 48 hours. With each page tfat's written, it's clear to see that the author loves her characters and lives them throughout the story. I'm an avid fan and the only books I've not read of Kristen's thus far are her fantasy genre. I'm not a fantasy fan, but being as I've read everything she's written and listened to all in Audio too, my next books will be...fantasy by Kristen. If youve followed The Chaos Motorcycle Club, this book will mot disappoint. It's full of humour, love, sadness too and the usual drop ins from characters from other books too. I also loved how loose ends were tied up too. i hate that this was the end of Chaos, so am looking forward to a spin-off, ir lots of spin-offs with cameo appearances from different chaos members. this cannot really be the FINAL, can it? xxx

total miss for me
I absolutely loved the series and looked forward to Rush and Rebel and I'm left with so much crap. I feel like the story had so many sub plots and not enough emphasis and development of Rush's story. I didn't walk away from this book feeling invested in the characters, the plot nor understanding all the side trips for new characters. How Benito goes down didn't make sense to me based on prior books. I didn't read the honey series but am not opposed to the genre but I don't understand why this element was added to the book. This book will definitely not be on my reread list which is truly sad as this series is my favorite and I've listened to them so often any everytime they bring me new excitement.

Disappointed
I have to say l love about 95% of the books Kristen writes but this one was very disappointing. I was really excited to hear Rush's story because I have read the whole series but Rush and the heroine story fell flat. They meet, fall instantly in love and that was it, no character development for them. Also the book has about 40% of there story. Rushes story is split up with about 8 or 9 differant story lines going on at the same time. This book is so scatter that it's hard to keep track of what's going on. There is also another couples love story going at the same time Rush's is but the other couple has more character development the the main story line. I felt more for them than Rush and his story. Also if you dont like sexual assault or rape scenes do not read or listen to this book.

Didn't Do Chaos Justice
Caution there are spoilers in this review.
I have always enjoyed this series but this was not worthy of the series. There was no conflict between the lead characters which is what robbed it of the feel of a Chaos novel. He saw the girl, he set his sights on her and she fell right in line. You never wondered if they would end up together or survive to find their happily ever after.
I have always tolerated Ashely's need to cameo her favorite characters because it is clear she loves them and it usually serves the story in minor some way. This time it felt forced and pointless.
Cole Allen was the heir apparent to the Chaos club we love. We have watched him grow up and do his part to get his club clean for years. Not giving him a clear telling of his story felt wrong. Not letting him be the one that took down Benito was wrong.
I loved his girl Rebel, she was a great fit for him. Sadly, they didn't have to work at growing together and realizing they fit perfectly. That part of the story not being there was huge let down. That crucial part is what has always made the Chaos boys finding their Ole' Lady a satisfying ride for us. You never once thought their past or outside influences would keep them from riding off into the sunset together.
This book would have been a novella if you left out the pointless cameo appearances by characters from other series and the effort to introduce us to a rising new motorcycle club. Both stories would have been better served if it had been two novels instead two novellas crammed into one novel.
Chaos novels have always been about love, acceptance and redemption between two people surrounded by the Chaos family. This was not the wild, twisting, white knuckle ride to happily ever after we deserved.

Wow just wow
The first thing that came to mind when the last word was spoken. I read the reviews before starting this book and was prepared to be disappointed. I am a long time KA fan (I’ve read or listened to just about everything she’s written multiple times) and have been pretty disappointed in the last few books she’s written. I’m very happy to say this book completely blew me away and is the best thing I’ve listened to in a long time. I will say it was not at all what I expected and yet it was the absolute perfect ending to the beloved Chaos series. For those who got irritated and/or may get irritated in the beginning when she jumps to Beck, keep listening (from other reviews that’s where they got frustrated and stopped listening due to the multiple POV changes in the beginning) she ties it all up in a neat little bow and it all makes sense when you get to the end. I will say if you’ve never read KA before, don’t start with this book. At least listen to or read Motorcycle man and the whole Chaos series and if you can bear it, the ménage story in loose ends or some of the book won’t make sense. For those of us who have read or listened to pretty much everything she’s ever written, I think this book was written for her biggest fans. Those of us who’ve continued to listen and read even though we make not like everything she’s done and some of her explorations, we’ve continued to stick by her anyway knowing what she’s capable of and hoping that the next book is the rare gem we can sink our teeth into and want to revisit it over and over again. I hope for all of you, as it was for me, this is that book. Great job KA, it’s been a while for me but you finally did it again!

Not my favorite of the series...
This is such a hard book for me to rate/review, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. There was a lot about this book I really loved. I love the brotherhood of Chaos. I always will. This series will hold a special space in my heart always. I mean, Walk Through Fire is one of my favorite books ever. I also loved Rush and Rebel’s love story. I feel like I’ve been waiting for Rush for FOREVER. And there lies the biggest problem for me. I wanted Rush’s story. I didn’t want Rush getting half the book and a dozen other characters getting the rest of the book …The Honey crossover, so much Benito- and I hate the way that turned out, like for real it hurt my heart, and a side romance between Beck and Janna which may have made a nice novella but didn’t need to be in this book. Plus a lot of other crazy things that were unneeded. I understand a few chapters here and there from side characters are sometimes necessary in books like this, but it was much too much for me. On a side note, the narration was great. I would give the narrators 5 star.

Huge let down!
The only good thing I can say about this book was the narration. I have loved this series so much, and wanted to love this book, but I absolutely did not. Kristen Ashley has always written slightly quirky characters, but writing weird for the sake of weird seemed to be her goal here. The sex elements in this story were not good, from the Dom stuff with Rebel’s brother and the parts with Baneto just seemed really gross to me, not a subject I want to read. I think that Kristen, from her last series she wrote wanted to put that element in this book. Didn’t want to read about the whole Dom, Sub thing with that series, really didn’t want that in my Chaos books either. All in all this book just wasn’t worth my time and I plan on returning it, because this is a book I would NEVER re-read again!

Who is this story about? It's all over the place. I thought it was supposed to be about Rush and his love. Beck and some chick named Jana have just as big a part. WTF? Rush falls in love looking through binoculars. Faster then any insta love. And I don't mind insta love. Usally, the 2 main characters are in almost every scene. Not in this story. They share the spot light with so many other characters and POVs, you get lost. And the epilogue had so many 2minutes later , 2 hrs, later, 2 weeks later, 2 months later, 2 years later, I got wiplash. My first KA book ever was mortorcycle man. So, I stuck with the Chaos series even though I could not finish the previous 2 before Free. I think free stands for free for all. Disappointed and sad. Certainly loss of focus going on here. Not everyone reads every series and working every character into one book will not encourage them to do so.

Buyer Beware !!!!
Let me start by saying,I have every single book written by this author .....except the Honey Series. I did buy Loose Ends knowing and accepting I would only be reading half the book , I had no problem with that, for I had fair warning. What I do have a problem with is not being warned that the long awaited story of Rush would be an ambush to shove Honey down my throat. I think maybe the author wanted to write another book for the Honey Series and was forced to produce a Chaos novel????? Don't know, but I do know there were glimpses of the genius writing of KA in this book but mostly it seemed like a sad attempt to .... I DK...convince us that women should be into gay porn??? Rush and Rebel seemed almost like an inconvenient topic that had to be addressesd in the middle of all that is "FREE". I think we should at least have been warned this book contained more M/M than it does Rush and Rebel. Also , seemed to spend a lot of time maybe trying to share or justify a political view rather than build the characters. I have read and re-read every single Chaos novel, this one.... just, ewe. However, this book did accomplish one thing, I'm not near as sad the series has ended. Love this author when she's writing for the story and the characters, sans the agenda.

Loose ends untied WTH
1. I thought Maddox and Diesel’s loose ends were tied up in...”Loose Ends”. Is this Loose Ends pt. 2?? I was very disappointed with all the sub/dom/mmf content in the Chaos series. I LOVE Chaos and I was NOT looking for more of the honey series story in this series. 2. Rush and Rebel’s story was so under developed. I was way more interested in Jana and Beck’s story than theirs. 3. The investigation and crime content I believe was well done, as far as I can tell. 4. I heard too much of KA’s voice in this, too much soapbox and agenda pushing and seemed tacky and self righteous. If you want to address bigotry maybe you should save it for another book so you can develop the characters better and give well rounded points of view. This just read like one person’s opinion and perspective about all the parties involved. Not very objective, or empathetic to other points of view. Which I believe is an authors job unless they are writing an opinion piece. When you read fiction you want to be transported not feel like you’re being preached to or told how to think. It’s up to the reader to make up their mind.
5. Rebel seemed like the Polar opposite of Leah from the vampire series you wrote. Which isn’t a good thing. She showed no opposition and strength of will to even try to imagine not dating Rush. She threw a little sass but it was almost like you didn’t want to waste time writing to develop their relationship. There was virtually zero conflict between them.
I know I am being harsh but this book just rubbed me the wrong way and did not give off the “Chaos” vibe I’m used to.
6. Using Benito’s sex tape as leverage to humiliate him seemed counterintuitive towards the tone and message of majority of the conflict in the book between Diesel, Rebel and their immediate family, don’t you think?
This is a hard pass for me. Usually I can listen non stop to a 20something hr long KA book but this one I can barely finish. Which makes me sad.
LASTLY, I was so looking forward to this narration because it’s the “Chaos” voice, but I had to put the speed on 1.25 because I didn’t know what the hell was happening with all the slow speaking. Threw me off completely.
LASTLY, LASTLY, the dialogue is always funny. So I liked that but it did not outweigh the bad. SORRY.
