We were introduced to Xander and Charlotte in a previous book and they experience a very passionate, love at first sight romance that, despite only spending a small amount of time together, they both know that 'this is the one'. That is until they are involved in a car accident which leaves Xander suffering with amnesia, forgetting the last 12 years of his life. Yes, he has his friends to help him however, there is one small problem, he is still in love with Billie and doesn't recognise Charlotte which is heartbreaking for her.
I love how the author dealt with the amnesia, there were lots of flashbacks and remembering intimate things that were triggered by senses, as Xander slowly tries to piece everything back together whilst Charlotte struggles with her own emotions, trying to decide if what she is doing is right.
You will definitely need a box of tissues for this one, both characters went through so much heartache to try and be together yet the amnesia caused so much pain, brought to life even more by the very talented Zachary Johnson, I'm sure at one time we were both in tears together! Stephanie Nemeth Parker also portrays Charlotte's emotions, strength and pain well, I will definitely look out for these narrators again.
Maggie Cole has excelled herself with this book, yes it has her trademark hot scenes together with a well written storyline that pulls at the heartstrings, yet this was full of such raw emotion, I dare you to listen to it without any tears!
If you love a well written and well narrated amnesia romance, medical romance (or like to rate puss out of 10...listen to understand 😉), contemporary romance, billionaire romance or second chance romance then this is for you.

I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship between Xander and Charlotte. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series My Friend The Billionaire so I can get Chase and Vivian's story.
Stephanie and Zachary did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like billionaire romances, second chance romances, amnesia romances, medical romances, or contemporary romances.

Enhancing his story is the fabulous narration team. Zachary Johnson is amazing, bringing Xander warmth, frustration and love. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker falls into character as Charlotte. Her pain is evident and her love shines through it all just with the nuances used. It's a fantastic performance and one that everyone will enjoy.
