Summary

A socially anxious college student discovers she has superpowers—and they need babysitting—in the first book of an original superhero series.

Power Day occurs every year on September 15th. Across the world, formerly regular people awaken with superhuman abilities—and labels to go with them. They become the next generation of Heroes...and Villains.

September 15th is also Emily Wright’s first day on campus. While everyone else is out celebrating the start of their college career, Emily’s hiding in her dorm room. She wonders if it’s possible to earn a degree while completely avoiding eye contact with anyone.

All she wants is to learn a little and maybe get over her anxiety. Instead, she’s granted a superpower and categorized as villainous. So, Emily panics—and inadvertently conjures up a pint-size supervillain sidekick.

Emily has no intention of doing anything—evil or otherwise—with her powers. And if she has to babysit an increasing number of “little sisters” in order to stay under the radar, so be it.

But can Emily gain control of her life, or will she drown in a sea of supervillainy and cuddles?

Great Story!

A fun and fast paced tale of someone trying to make the most out of life with added complications. The characters are great, especially the sisters and the adventures are relatively low stakes while still having enough emotional heft to be gripping. It is all narrated wonderfully for a light and uplifting tale of superhero hijinks!

Yay RavensDagger!

I am not a fan of litRPG. I am not a fan of "wholesome" stories. But I have become a big fan of RavensDagger. She has great ideas and funny, interesting characters. I have decided to read every book she releases!

Great Book!

I wasn’t sure what I’d think of this at first. I’m usually not into superheroes. But I really love this author’s other series, Cinnamon Bun, so thought I’d give it a try.

I loved it! So cute, and I love that she’s starting to gain more confidence. I’m sort of hoping she embraces her villain status a bit more, because I think she’d make a great villain.

Unsure what to think

The book describes itself as a cutsie, wholesome litrpg. While I can see that it tries to be, I feel it misses the mark, unlike Cinnamon Bun. As for the content, its too short and I feel like the ending just cuts off instead of neatly tying anything up. The world building isn't great, and the magic system doesn't seem logical. It has potential to grow and become a great book, but the first book starts slow and seems more like a first draft.
