About this listen

Love can be a devil and a saint.

A scarred vigilante.
A titled beauty.
Two secrets. One fateful encounter.
Two lies. One truth.
A happening that left London speechless.
A witness—the entire city.

On December 19th, 1851, a crime took place in the center of London. One of the few who knows what truly happened is Countess Alina Bronskaya.

But she will never speak of it.
The crime is her curse and her salvation.
Her culprits are the men who gave her their hearts.
One is a gentleman-devil.
The other is the Duke of Ravenaugh.
This is a story of redemption.
And in the center of it all—love. Passionate. Overpowering. Changing the course of history.

The sort of love that can ruin a man.
The one that can save him.

Flowers for the Devil is a dark Victorian romance with tormented villain, strong heroine, forbidden love, secret identity, and diverse characters tropes. This is not a love triangle. The novel has mature situations and themes which may be considered triggers for some. Listeners' discretion is advised.

Beautiful

One of the most beautiful romances I’ve read. Dark gothic Victorian romance of an angel and the most notorious villain of London

Flowers for the devil

Flowers for the devil is an exquisite listen having read the book previously and loved it I new the story , however listening to it was something else .
The narration is the best I have listened to so far the narrators are so expressive without pretentious voices (that I often find annoying )they brought the story to life so much so that i felt i was there ……like a fly on the wall just soaking every character in.
It is powerful and dark , it is beautiful , it is romantic with some wonderful love scenes that leave you quite breathless at times and it has humour that makes you smile .
I really enjoyed the music that played on and off throughout the devils confessional it brought such an atmosphere to the sciences I found myself with tears in my eyes , quite the best audio I have ever had the pleasure to listen to I feel emotionally exhausted but pleasantly so .

Brilliant, absorbing, magical, thrilling.

Loved everything about this book, the story is beautifully written. All the characters have a major impact on the telling of this tale, I couldn't get enough of their parts in the book. The history is on point for the period and so well described I could feel, smell and taste the atmosphere, the settings for each event are totally spellbinding. What a thrilling ride. Well worth a read/listen . I will definitely listen to this story again and again, the narrators have captured the magic of each charactor and injected their hearts into the telling of this story. Highly entertaining. I give this book and the author a well deserved 5 star rating
