About this listen
When Kennedy James unexpectedly shows up at her grandma's house in Tyler, Texas, no one knows what to make of her arrival - including her. The only thing Kennedy does know is that something in her life has to change, and it needs to happen right now. She's been numb for much too long.
Then she meets Travis Broussard, the perceptively cool guitarist of the indie soul band The Prototype. The timing couldn't be worse, but their attraction is instant, magnetic, and at times overwhelming, causing Kennedy to question if it's possible to feel too much.
As Kennedy attempts to embark on a new path, she finds herself at a crossroads. But if she chooses to follow her heart, is she prepared to deal with what she might find?

STUNNING FOLLOW-UP TO BOOK 1
Jacinta Howard did it again 🙌🏾 Different characters with different back stories, but again, totally believable in their interactions. Kennedy is understandably hesitant and I could see with her, but Travis's mess had me kissing my teeth. I was however COMPLETELY INVESTED!!
Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem narrated brilliantly yet again ❤️
Would absolutely recommend this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

really good but, a little too long
This is melancholy, beautiful and full of hope in new beginnings and fresh starts. Kennedy is a quiet introvert, that people appear to be drawn to. She's dealing with survivors' guilt and depression. Music is her scape and therapy. They meet and there is an instant and profound connection. She joins his band, goes back to uni and the rest is history. We follow her journey to discovering who she is now and taking charge of her own life. Virtually no spice, but what there is, is sweet rather than hot.
Love her grandmother, wish there was more of her and her magic (there are hints of it but nothing is clearly explained).
Narration was amazing. Jakobi Diem and Wesleigh Siobhan were perfection, they interpreted every sweet, funny, melancholy and sexy moment (as well as everything in between) perfectly.

Another banger
The perfect follow on from happiness in jersey. Jakobi was good, adding a little accent to Travis and of course wesleigh killed it. On to the next book!
