Summary
Diego Garcia. Class bully. Football star. My boyfriend.
I fell hard and fast for the resident bad boy, and he fell just as hard for me, too. We were the perfect couple, until things turned sour. Senior year and we’re both super busy. He has football. I have volleyball. Soon enough, I hear the rumors - Diego’s cheating on me. After everything we’ve been through, I’m devastated. Breaking up with him was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. He doesn’t love me. Besides, only a few more months of school, and then I’m going away to college. And Diego will be permanently out of my life. Until I find out I’m pregnant. And now, we’re forever tied together....

Angsty, emotional goodness
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
THAT. WAS. TORTURE
Diego and Jocelyn nearly broke me with their fighting, their back and forth, their pain.
I appreciated Jocelyn's strength, kindness, and perseverance. Her willingness to go it alone rather than dealing with the hostility and hurt Diego seemed to bring to the equation.
Diego. I often felt sorry for the guy, he obviously needed guidance and support (which he basically had to beg for at times), his home life was a mess (to put it politely), and it seemed no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't quite get to where he needed to be with Jos.
Cami... can someone PLEASE, take her out. She is the absolute worst.
I have never felt such rage against a fictional character before, my hatred for her runs deep.
4.5 stars for this angsty, emotional goodness.
Teddy and Sarah did a stellar job with narration.

Worth paying for!
I wanted to hear the story of Diego and Joscylen, so I bought the book - it was definitely worth it. All the angst of Diego growing up in a dysfunctional - but all too believable - family that you could wish for. Joscylen’s parents’ reactions were also understandable, if bad for our hero.
The most unsatisfying character was Matteo, seconded by Cami. Why was Matteo SO evil? SO twisted. I felt bad for him, and not so ,yah for Cami.
I liked that the two MCs were given time to grow up and mature a bit emotionally. Was the Happy Ever After ending really believable? Of course not! But I don’t read fiction for realism. I have enough of that in my real life.
