Summary

A totally gripping and heart-stopping serial-killer thriller

Eeeny meeny, miney, moe. Who lives, who dies, only I know.

When the body of a doctor is discovered brutally murdered in local woodland, Detective Kim Stone is shocked to discover the victim is Gordon Cordell - a man linked to a previous case she worked on involving the death of a young schoolgirl. Gordon has a chequered past, but who would want him dead?

As the investigation gets underway, Gordon’s son is involved in a horrific car crash which leaves him fighting for his life. Kim's sure this was no accident.

Then the body of a woman is found dead in suspicious circumstances and Kim makes a disturbing link between the victims and Russells Hall Hospital. The same hospital where Gordon worked.

With Kim and her team still grieving the loss of one of their own, they’re at their weakest and facing one of the most dangerous serial killers they’ve ever encountered. Everything is on the line. Can Kim keep her squad together and find the killer before he claims his next victim?

The killer is picking off his victims at a terrifying pace, and he’s not finished yet.

From multimillion number-one best seller Angela Marsons comes another absolutely nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat crime thriller.

Terrible narrator

I really enjoy these books, but the narrator has spoiled every audiobook in this series.

*A Tricky Connection*

This instalment sees DI Kim Stone dealing with a new team member. She had previously worked with him and found him to be excellent but his position is to replace a member of her team that they are grieving for. Will they ever accept him?

This case is about a body who she barely recognises due to his injuries as a doctor she was investigating in connection to another case. Then more murders occur as Kim and her team try to work out if the there is a link between the victims. The killer is giving their victims a choice to save their own life or the life of someone they hold most dear. It seems whatever they choose the person left behind is also killed.

The murderer is hiding in plain sight, while trying to frame others

Kim relies a lot on Bryant who actually seems to at her annoyance know and understand her very well. Kim is about to be tested when he gets into danger.

This one also sees Stacey working another case that but on the provision that the current case is prioritised. It brings out another side to her and she comes into her own.
