About this listen

Winter has come to the world, and still, Erin Solstice has no idea how she came to be an [Innkeeper].

Erin is running an inn outside the city of Liscor, but she’s no longer alone. Ryoka Griffin, the City Runner, has business in the south of Izril; she’s out on a dangerous delivery of her own. Yet while both young women have finally found their calling, more and more people are beginning to realize that these visitors from Earth don’t belong here.
Erin must find new guests and old for her inn while expanding her tentative business. Staying safe would also be nice. At the same time, some pesky creatures have arrived to herald winter, and they bring mischief and danger unlike anything she’s ever seen. But as more and more children of Earth begin appearing, the cold of winter is the least of Erin’s worries.

liked the book but it can bit a bit slow and dragged out in places.
Also the narrator's voice gets a bit high pitched and very annoying with some characters.

A good listen but keep the volume down low

I'm finding this series as the title says, enjoyable, but it has its sad moments, some topics for reflection, and times where you chickle out loud.
At no time do you feel that it's dragging, unless you have to go back to re-listen something multiple times because you are not paying attention. Obviously this has nothing to do with the book :)
Will wait a week (maybe) before I listen to the next book.

Very enjoyable

So in the last few years I’ve read less and less, instead preferring audiobooks and yet, after my 4th listen through to Volumes 1 and 2, I’ve just gotta know what comes next, so it’s time to dust off my old kindle!

This book is an incredible continuation of an awe inspiring first book. I love the world, the characters, the races, dialogue and the plot lines.

Then there’s the narration. Andrea Parsneau is, quite frankly, one of the most skilled narrators I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing. Her accents are convincing and her characters, distinct.

Even after I’ve read volume 3 (part one) I’ll be here on day one to listen through the audiobook!

...

Hell, it’s been so long since I read a novel that it might be out by the time I finish reading ^_^;

After my 4th listen...

The narrator has a real talent with so many convincing voices. The writer has a great sense of adventure and humour. Fascinating read.

Very entertaining

the book over all was very good. The only reason for not full flying colors is because, sometimes the time line gets a bit mixed up witch can make things a bit confusing at times. But otherwise a very good listen.

Tons of fun.

Loved that this takes some myths and legends and includes them in the world in such an immersive way, the interactions between POV characters are brilliantly done and its left me really wanting to grab book 3 straight away.
wonderfully narrated as well!

excellent story!

This book would be so much better to listen to if the narrator did not continually use high pitch voices that are very annoying and at times painful to listen to. The book is sixty hours long, the absolute insanity of having very high pitch voices throughout the book defies logic or sense, and is very difficult to listen to. Going forwards I will have to seriously consider whether or not I’m willing to purchase audiobooks with this narrator which is a shame because other than the high pitched narration she is really good.

Narrator needs to narrow the pitch range

I can't belive how fast those 60hrs went by, I didn't want it to end. What a roller coaster this was. Excellent story and the narrator is just simply the best 💜💜💜

Excellent!
