Summary

As Dylan talked to Gwen, he told her how he felt that some of the more important stories of the first two generations needed to be passed on to the younger Evans.

She suggested that he should write them down so they wouldn’t be forgotten, and he agreed. He knew that he would have to invent some of those stories because he wasn’t there, but he knew the character of the men and women who had created much of the Evans family legend, and he was sure that they wouldn’t mind his use of a bit of literary license.

He only hoped that the youngsters would be able to read his hen scratching. Even when he was young, his penmanship was horrible, and now that he was an old man with arthritic fingers, it was close to an illegible scrawl. But it was important to him because they were.

They were the Evans family.

Includes bonus story, They Call Me Peanut.

As usual wonderful of course.

Every one of this series will have you losing sleep, if you listen to them in the evening. They started of with Dylan's Journey which held me hooked, as it seemed to get better on every chapter and I just had to carry on with the next one.

Dylan's memories

This is the last book in this series. This book is so emotional. You really need to read the first six to get the full understanding. I have never been so invested in a series as this one. This book goes back and shows you each of the main family members when and how they died. This was sad or it was to me. Each book was excellent. This has to be my favorite series I've ever listened to. I have all seven books and I'll listen to them over. This book brings closure to the Evans family. That generation anyway. I hope C.J. Petit continues with more books with the new generation of The Family. Jim meskimen does an excellent job narrating this series. BIG TEAR JERKER BUT LOVED IT ALL THE SAME

I was confused and I cried and was heartbroken that the elders died together.
