Story
Recently-divorced Joel is finally living as a gay man, but he’s not sure he’s ready to jump into a relationship. That doesn’t stop him from noticing his new contractor’s muscular build, hewn from hard, physical work, or his storm-colored eyes. The icing on the cake? There’s more to Finn than good looks. Maybe he’s the perfect guy to share long walks on the beach and warm nights in front of a fire. But it’s been 20 years since Joel was with a man. While he’s not forgotten how to flirt, he’s nervous about making a move. Especially with Finn.

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Summary
Dylan has been curious for a long time, but is he ready to confront his desires?
A difficult decision
Dylan Martin has worked in the same Ogunquit hotel since he was 18, and he knows the drill: anything that might damage the hotel’s reputation has to be reported. So telling the uptight manager there’s a gay porn shoot about to take place should be a no-brainer.
Except Dylan recognizes one of the performers. He’s been watching Mark Roman’s scenes for so long, he could describe every inch of Mark’s ripped body, from the silver at his temples and in his beard, right down to the tattoo on his ass. Not to mention Mark’s sexy smile that sends heat hurtling through Dylan every time he sees it.
But if Dylan says nothing, it’s his job on the line. And then his hand is forced....
An eager student
Mark’s shoot is a bust but there’s a silver lining, in the shape of a cute, sexy guy in the local bar. Except the guy seems familiar - and nervous - and suddenly it’s clear who let the cat out of the bag. When Mark jokes that Dylan owes him a scene to make up for it, Dylan refuses point blank, but the longing in his eyes is hard to ignore: Dylan obviously wants him, even if he can’t bring himself to say it.
Mark wants to be the one to undress him, to show him how sensual a man’s kiss can be. He wants to set Dylan on fire, to make him shudder with pleasure. Most of all, he longs to hear his name on Dylan’s lips when Mark brings him to the edge.
It won’t be any more than that. Mark’s "career" has proved a stumbling block in the past, and he doesn’t expect Dylan to be any different.
Mark may know a lot about desire, but Dylan’s about to give him a lesson in love.

Another wonderful romance in Maine's Men
Dylan's Dilemma is the fourth book in this series that follows a group of men who have been friends since school as they each find their own HEA.
Dylan has always identified to his family and friends as straight though he's questioned it quietly to himself. When he meets Mark Roman under 'interesting' circumstances, it leads the two men to form a friendship that neither are looking for but are much in need of. Dylan lets himself explore something he's never had the chance to before with this man he comes to trust more than any other and Mark has his first relationship that is separate to his work life in many years. Both have issues with their family that they support each other with along with the emotional ups and downs that they experience throughout the story. The heat level starts out slow but soon ignites and I will definitely not look at a pool table in the same way again!
I loved the development of their friendship into so much more than either could have anticipated and the drama that came along with some of the other people in their lives. Dylan's confidence grows thanks to the trust and support from Mark, and it's heartwarming knowing that his found family is always there in the background. I'm really looking forward to the next book that gives Shaun his story.
John Solo, as ever, is fantastic in his narration. I really felt the emotion of this one as Ben explores his sexuality with Mark and how their bond deepens as their relationship develops.

Dylan and Mark
Another great instalment in this series, good story, good narration, what more could we ask for.
Dylan, a closeted bi amongst a group of gay friends, why didn't he just admit it to his friends, who he knew would accept him.
Mark, a porn star and a gay one at that, his family had disowned him, and he feels something is missing in his life. Life can be rough on you at times, but we can our HEA in the end.
Even though this book is part of the Maine Men series, each book, in my opinion, can be read alone.
We get to meet all the other men briefly in each book.
A well-written book about men, love and second chances in life: Great Narration from John Solo again. I speed up the narration to 1.30. but this is usual for me, and I find most people read too slow for me.

Emotional Performance by John Solo
John Solo performs Dylan's story in episode #4 of K.C. Wells’ Maine Men series. You can read these stories independently, or in any order, though it’s been fun to see the changes in this tight knit group as each of the guys finds their partner. Plus, the friend group does pop up in each of the novels. These buddies support each other as they work out some of life’s problems, learn more about themselves, and find love along the way.
In Dylan’s Dilemma the main character faces several predicaments, and his choices result in some big life changes. A longtime victim of his passive aggressive family’s constant digs and predices, Dylan is afraid to stand up for himself. And worst of all, Dylan feels that there’s something wrong with his wants and desires.
The effort of maintaining his career is wearing Mark down, and he’s come to a point where his life needs an overhaul. He’s been living in Maine for a while, but hasn’t made any connections in the community. So when he sees the cutie from the hotel, Mark takes the opportunity to strike up a conversation.
While Dylan’s initial attraction to hunky Mark is purely physical, once these two get to know each other they get along beautifully. Mark’s self confidence and straightforward attitude helps Dylan open up about his true desires. And as his walls come down, Dylan and Mark forge a bond, before they ever start a romantic relationship.
Dylan slowly grows to realize that lust alone isn’t enough, even being honest about his desires isn’t enough, for him to make the passionate connection he longs for. To truly matter to his lover, Dylan needs to forge an intimacy he hasn’t found in a partner until Mark. Dylan’s exploration of his inner romantic journey is beautifully written, and I love the changes that come over Mark's character as these two venture into this romantic relationship.
John Solo always does a great job with K.C. Wells' stories. I think he truly understand where she's going with her characters - the essence of what makes them so real. In Dylan's case, where he's craving intimacy - and for Mark who is lonely and poised to make some changes in his life. It's a beautiful performance.

🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Narrator John Solo delivered a scorching hot performance. His flawless performance of the fourth book in the Maine Men series won first place as my audiobook of the month for November 2021. The narrator’s voice is deeper and raspier than usual, giving me goosebumps and shivers during the sex scenes.
The story about Dylan and Mark was cute, I liked the way they met and the whole setup for their first-time sex. My favorite character was Mark, he had a strong presence and I found him emotionally intelligent and totally the opposite of the stereotyped characters in the sex industry. I also liked that he mentioned real sex is not like porn videos, how the characters work out and diet to have those perfect bodies, making the whole story real and believable for me. I liked the speech Dylan gave his parents and the way he came to his decision.
This audiobook was sweetly real and I do recommend it. I did not listen to the first three books, so it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Oh, I love this group of friends so much!
Dylan has always been the quiet, reserved one, and we now discover why. He comes from a really *unpleasant*family and has always denied, evan partially to himself, that he's bi. But when he gets to meet one of his favourite adult entertainers and their tentative friendhip turns into more, he really comes out of his shell and the shy guy Mark roman meets at the beginning of the book turns out to have a pretty good grasp on what he wants.
This book, like some of the other previous ones, is all about chosen family, as both Dylan's and Mark's biological ones are better left alone!
The book can be read as a standalone, but the series is so good you'll want to catch up with all the other guys, too!

Dylan's Dilema
This year is going to be different for Dylan. He is tired of hiding his true feelings and when Mark enters his world Dylan begins to find his feelings coming to the forefront even more.
Dylan and Mark’s story is a wonderful listen. The two are good together and it was nice to see the way their relationship develops. I loved the way Mark gives Dylan the confidence he needs to explore. Their story is not only a hot one but one full of emotions. Narrator John Solo gives these men life and emotions that had me lost in their story.

Dylan's Dilemma by K.C. Wells was given to me in exchange for an honest review. Dylan, a hotel assistant manager and Mark an adult film star may have met under unusual circumstances but Dylan knows he has found the one person who fits and Mark finally found that unicorn who has no problem with his career. A fantastic story and great audio performance!
This series just keeps getting better and better. Each of the books are very different from each other and yet they are linked by the friendships among the “Maine Men” as they each get their HEA. At this point, I’d really have a hard time picking my favorite story but this one really touched me.
Dylan isn’t out to anyone. His family is emotionally abusive and homophobic; they never approved of his group of friends because some of them are gay. Keeping these friends is about the only thing Dylan has done to stand up to them – until now.
Mark is a well-known porn star but he longs for a partner who will accept him as he is, including his occupation. He’s also been thinking about retiring from doing porn but hasn’t figured out what he can do for income if he does.
I love how Mark gave Dylan the confidence he needs to follow through with his secret desires. And Dylan gives Mark the personal relationship connection he’s been looking for. These two guys just fit with each other. What starts out as a way to let Dylan experiment with his desires soon turns into something much more.

Outstanding Story & Narration🎧Sweet & Spicy🔥Hot!
I loved everything about this beautifully captivating and heartfelt story, from K.C. Wells’ wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrator who brings it all to life from the pages to your ears. Each book in this series is amazing in their own way, just as each of the Maine men are, this one tugged on my heartstrings and quickly became one of my favorites. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are also easy to like and care about. I adored both leads, Dylan Martin and Mark Roman, Dylan’s parents did not approve of his friends, the other Maine men he grew up with, because they were gay, despite that he was straight yet he always tried to appease them, but nothing he did was good enough even being promoted in his job at the Ogunquit Hotel. Thankfully, his friends are there for him, but he hides a little of himself from them, one being his love of watching gay porn, but he opens up a bit to Marcus, Seb’s new boyfriend and he gets some good advice from him. Dylan noticed one of his favorite porn stars, Mark Roman, used his hotel to film his show, so when he sees him there again, he feels obligated to let his boss know. He feels guilty having to rat him out, but he apologizes to Mark when he runs into him at the bar that night. The two hit it off, and a friendship develops between them and once they get more comfortable with each other, they open up about their lives and feelings. Mark’s family life was not much different from Dylan’s, except they actually disowned him and the reason he sent out to make it on his own and starting a career in porn. These two were great together, the chemistry between them was through the roof, Mark’s patience with Dylan was amazing and just what he needed, but it turns out Dylan was just what Mark needed. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is wonderfully plotted with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions and some smoking hot romance. K.C. Wells, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, John Solo continues to deliver an outstanding performance as he brings these characters and their to life. HIs character voices are exceptional and consistent throughout the series, he has a complete understanding of teach character he portrays, gives each a voice that suits that character’s persona perfectly and sounds believable in every role he plays. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into his performance. This mega talented voice artist is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another top quality listen.

Very Enjoyable
Dylan's Dilemma is Book 4 in the Maine Men series and can be enjoyed as a standalone. This is a beautifully written story about two men who happen to find love by chance. Dylan was just doing his job when Mark came into his hotel. Dylan thought he knew why Mark was there and felt obligated to tell his boss. After being asked to leave the hotel Mark ran into Dylan at a restaurant and started talking to him. It was the start of a beautiful friendship that turned into so much more. I love this book and the emotional realness of the characters. Dylan and Mark have more in common than they think and I love the connection that they discover. This is a fabulous addition to this series of friends and found family and I can't wait for the next book. Definitely recommend.
Narrator John Solo does a marvelous job in bringing these characters to life.

Friendship and love
Lately Dylan has been struggling with his sexuality. He has an awesome set of friends but for many years his family has left him hiding who he really might be. Mark is a seasoned porn star whose own family turned their backs on him when he was eighteen. The two meet at the hotel Dylan works at where Mark was going to film a scene. The shoot was a bust thanks to a cranky manager but it leads to a meaningful friendship between the two MC's. I liked that they built this friendship and trust with each other first. We get to learn more about their pasts and after some heartaching moments on both sides, we get a glimpse of their HEA. A wonderful story I would gladly listen to again and again. John Solo did a great job with both main characters.
