About this listen

As the ship docked in Bombay, the shocking news of the rising by the Indian mutineers and their massacre of women, children, and civilians reached Anthony Morgan and his company. Even so, they were hardly prepared for what they now faced. Morgan himself has another quest. On discovering that the son he had fathered, his child's mother and her husband, Morgan's old sergeant, are captives up in the hills, he is determined to rescue them.

A gripping tale of a soldier torn between orders and honour.

Dust & Steel

This book was well read but the content was boring and seemed to lack any real prupose. Not one of my best choices!

An uninspiring book.

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

People who enjoy books which centre around history, war and bloodshed.

Would you ever listen to anything by Patrick Mercer again?

I don't know.

Have you listened to any of Jonathan Oliver’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Dust and Steel?

Don't know.

Any additional comments?

I'll probably listen to Patrick's other books, more out of wanting to try things than enjoyment. I found the historical elements difficult to follow in this book too.
