About this listen
Drake McGinn turned his back on hockey after the league betrayed him. Will the Titans be his chance to clear his name and take back the career he once loved?
After I made the decision to divorce, my ex-wife set out on a smear campaign against me, telling anyone who would listen that I was betting on hockey and throwing games. It wasn’t surprising that my ex told the lies, but the fact that the media, league, and fans chose to believe her baseless claims was unforgivable. I walked away from it all and never looked back.
Having settled into life as a single dad to three boys, I’m content. I have more money than I could ever need, and plenty of time to do whatever I want, whenever I want, and whoever I want. So when Brienne Norcross, the team owner for the Pittsburgh Titans, shows up at my house with a job offer, I have no problem turning her down. But the no-nonsense billionaire, with sinfully seductive red lips and killer heels that would look hot as hell thrown over my shoulders, won’t take “no” for an answer.
Now I need to find balance between hockey, my boys, and the explosive chemistry Brienne and I can no longer deny. A cast-off hockey player and the league’s only female team owner? I can think of a million reasons why it could never work but can’t bring myself to care about a single one of them. Game on.

This might be my favorite as it just seemed different than the rest of the series so far. Has a few fav tropes I'm a fan of. I just really loved Drakes character. Brienne needs Drake as one of the best goalies as she is rebuilding the team of Pittsburgh Titans. They're chemistry is just on fire! I'm excited for what's next.
Narrators Aiden Snow and Maxine Mitchell did a great job.

This series gets better and better!
Hockey and romance, it can't be a better fit. And the rebuilding of the Titans has so interesting, I feel like I have been a part of it! This is Drake's story and his grumpiness and issues that he has dealt with make him one of the players I could not wait to listen to. Brienne has had Drake on her radar for sometime. She wants him back on the team and has faith he will be the great player he is. But there is much more to Brienne and Drake. The chemistry between the two is palpable, but it can't be acted on. Right? Drake's divorce and subsequent circumstances has left him only wanting a no strings relationship and sleeping with the owner of the team is out of the question. But is it? Bennett has on hot and sweet story all rolled into one. First off, these two are magic together. Yes, there are obstacles but the love glue seems to be adhering. Drake with his kids is heart melting and his devotion to them is the kind of love that makes us fall for him. Brienne is a powerful woman and seeing her evolve from working woman to enjoying the wags, and the kids is heart warming. This is my favorite of this series so far and I can't wait to hear more from this incredible team.
For these characters, only certain narrators would fit their personalities and Bennett could not have cast better. Aiden Snow is the best broody, broken voice for a player like Drake. He also has a warmth that comes through with love and affection, especially with the kids! Maxine Mitchell is a favorite and she is strong, smart and passionate when it comes to Brienne. She brings her conflicts and frustrations to light and adds that warmheartedness in to make her realistic. This team is perfect for this book and I loved their performance.

Red hot forbidden hockey romance
Ooh, this is a good one. I can’t remember reading a book where the player crosses the line with the team owner. Drake and Brienne not only cross the line, they blow it to smithereens in this red hot, enemies to lovers forbidden hockey romance. They are combustible. Drake McGinn doesn’t trust easily, and with good reason, his ex wife did a number on him, big time. Now it’s just him, his adorable three young boys, and his sister, all moving to Pittsburg for a fresh start with the Titans. A no strings attached ‘non’ relationship with the team owner was not on the cards, but it would appear they can’t keep their hands to themselves. I absolutely loved this story, both Brienne and Drake are dealing with so many personal issues (not very well I might add), but it was a fun time when they were together. Opposites most definitely attract. The sexy confident billionaire, who I have to say does women proud, and the hockey player who doesn’t give two hoots about anything but his family. They were fantastic together. I was addicted from the get-go. A firm favourite for me. The audio version is narrated by Aidan Snow and Maxine Mitchell, and I’ve got to say, they were absolute perfection, making the story even more enjoyable, if that’s at all possible.

More Titans Greatness! Amazing Story & Narration🎧
Sawyer Bennett pens another winner of a novel set in her “Pittsburgh Titans” and I have a new favorite Titans player, Drake. Brienne Norcross, the owner of the team has been working hard to put together the best team that she could, she never ran the business side of the team, it was all her brother Alex and her father, but with them gone she inherited the task and she definitely would make them proud at the job she is doing. Brienne is someone you could admire, her busy savvy, her brains, work ethics and determination to get what she wants in and out of the boardroom and she wants Drake for her team. Drake’s ex falsely accused him of the unthinkable and his team and league fed into her lies without them backing him up, his fans fell for her lies too, so he walked away from hockey, and never went back even after they cleared his name. Then his ex-wife went off the rails and he won full custody of his three sons, who are his primary focus. When Brienne came knocking on her door with a proposition for him to return to the ice, he had another proposition for her. Yes, he was still bitter and wanted nothing to do with a league who threw him under the bus. She would not give up on him and she pitched her pitch and gave him a generous offer, one that he would be crazy to pass up, plus her pitch was very compelling, so he accepts her offer and joins the team. And her argument of sticking it to the league. The chemistry between Brienne and Drake is undeniable and they could only deny themselves for so long. He is upfront with her from the start, telling her he is not looking for any relationship, he does not want to go there after being burned and as a single dad he only has some much time to spare, she understands this and is fine with no strings hookups. It was great watching these two have a “not a relationship” relationship. They were perfect together and for each other, and I loved how it all played out. This wonderfully plotted romance novel has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions that pour off the pages and straight into your heart. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Sawyer Bennet always casts the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Aiden Snow and Maxine Mitchell are versatile voice artists and they had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited that character’s persona perfectly and were believable in every role they played. Aiden Snow nailed it as Drake, a hardened man who put a wall up around his heart and his life with only a soft spot for his family. Maxine Mitchell as Brienne was perfection, a strong and independent woman who was determined to get it all done. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

My favourite of the series so far
Drake and Brianne were awesome as a couple. His dominance worked well against Brianne’s boss persona. He wasn’t at all intimidated by her and she was putty in his hands almost right from the beginning. The narration only made the story all that more….bringing the characters to life.
