Summary

We shared the love of a lifetime. Too bad I don't remember any of it.

Pieces of my life were ripped away without warning. My career, my control, my sense of self...it's gone. So are my memories of him. I now know him as the handsome doctor who was there for me when I first woke up after the accident. But before that, he was the love of my life. My everything. Or so I'm told.

I'm not the woman he remembers. I'm just a ghost with her face. An unfortunate remnant of the happily ever after, fairy tale kind of romance we apparently had together.

He says he'll wait for me. That he won't stop fighting for us, even if he has to make me fall in love with him all over again.

I think he's right. I will fall for him. But the real question is, can he truly ever love me for who I am now? Or will his heart always belong to the memory of who I used to be?

Contains mature themes.

I struggled

I struggled with this book I loved the first chapters but I skipped about 5 chapters coz the brain damage and mental thing was dragged too much. I listened to Mr and Dr Mitchell three times but I don't think I will listen to this one again.

The narrators did a great job. I am not sure if I will buy the next book

loved it!

This is #3 of The Billionaire's Club about two brothers and their best friends.  And to get the best insight into the dynamics, I would suggest reading in order.

Colin is a brilliant neuro-surgeon and playboy deluxe, that is until he falls instantly head over heels in love with Elena, who turns out to be none other than his neuro-psychiatrist with whom he will closely be working.

He has to convince her that he has changed his playboy ways and they are about to get married when their worlds fall apart and she has to have brain surgery.

Their love story is beautiful written and gut wrenching. The author has obviously given a lot of thought on how it would feel to work in this field and then come face to face with what the reality is like to actually be the patient and their loved one.

It took a bit too long to get to the real story, but oh my, once there, I just couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it, but have your tissues ready! An added bonus is there is no epilogue and thousands of children!!

Phenomenal Read

This book takes you through every stage of their love and leaves nothing out. Raylin Marks is truly a gifted writer. I felt everything that this couple went through. In the very beginning I thought how nice it was to read a nice Insta-Love where everything goes perfect for the deserving couple. Never did I suspect what was coming. I was there right with them as they fought their way back to each other. This is a must read!

A LOVE STORY OF HEARTS & HAPPY.. & TEARS & FEELS

When Neuro Brain Surgeon Dr. Collin Brooks sets his sexy charismatic eyes on a beautiful stranger at a Medical Seminar it’s game over for him.. but for his new Neuro Therapist, he will need to up his A game. He’ll also need a ton of persuasion, patience, charm and demonstrate his skills in and out of the O.R. before he gets a date with the friendly, professional, smart, strong and caring badass that is Dr. Elena Alvarez. There’s a lot of friendly talk and support between best friends Jake (book 1) and Collin with brotherly pranks which is fun and the smooth push n pull banter and interactions between Collin and Elena (that coupled their insta attraction to each other) is light and humorous too. And, once Elena‘s walls come down, it’s the perfect match.. and the first half of the book is an easy-going, insta, warm, chilled-out listen that makes you smile and has some h-o-t sexy times too.

However, as you can read from the book’s Summary, the second half takes you on a very journey when Elena has a tragic accident with heartbreaking consequences as she battles with life, loss, lost memories, coming to terms with her present situation and many emotional conflicts with Collin. And the devastating emotional turmoil and heartbreak Collin goes through is equally as traumatic and heartbreaking as they lose each other and find each other all over again.

Worth a credit? Yes.. but I’ll be honest here, whilst the first half was addictive and entertaining, it also dragged on a bit for me personally.. and Elena was so damn perfect at absolutely everything she did.. so it was going to be a 3/3.5 score. Then, the emotionally raw and the real happened in the second half, which easily brought it back up to a 4.5 star score. The dual POV narration was good.. but Raylin, you should interact with very small children (or their Moms) to hear what they are.. and more importantly AREN’T, capable of saying in a sentence.

Great Story Line

Great story! Narration was seriously lacking. Sounded like they were not seasoned narrator's. Voices were nice but stiff in delivery.

All the feels

Omg this book. ALL THE FEELS. I originally read this book when it first came out and now I’m listening to it narrated. Listening to how Collin & Elena fell in love then to be torn apart due to a Traumatic Brain Injury was devastating. Knowing an accident was the cause, I kept expecting the accident to occur after each chapter. My heart was breaking when Collin finds out it’s Elena and he has to perform surgery. Thankfully, I did not ugly cry like when I originally read this part but I had to pause right before and after that whole scene. It brought me back to Grey’s Anatomy and the whole George 007 & Derek ugly cry situation. The progress Elena had to overcome was simply frustratingly beautiful. I absolutely love the ending and of course came back the tears. But this time happy tears. Another amazing book.

Amazing- Everyone should have a love like this

This book was incredible. Rich characters, a wonderful love story, and didn’t follow the typical plot line. But always a happy ending and steamy love scenes. The best so far of the series.

Rollercoaster of emotions!

So, you know how you think you already now how a story is going to go (generally speaking) and you just wait for the shoe to drop? Yeah, it takes awhile to happen and when it does you barely see it coming!

Narration

I’m on chapter 6 of this book but the narration is BUGGING me. I never do reviews but this is bugging me so much I just had to do one. Stephanie Rose’s narration sounds like this: “He. Smiled. At. Me. And. I. Looked. Away.” Like theres a period after every word and it’s bugging me because when she’s narrating a conversation it sound perfectly fine but when she’s talking to herself it just sound so robotic and it’s bugging me. So far the book is great. I just hope I can finish this book because I wouldn’t have spent a credit if the narration was this bad.
