Summary

Immerse yourself in the '80s, where Thursday meant Top of the Pops, Sunday meant taping The Top 40, and photos took two weeks to develop....

Thirty-somethings Tash and her brother Jamie didn’t mean to time travel back to October 1984, but bizarrely, they did, on the very day that Bob Geldof watched the BBC news report which moved him to form Band Aid and record “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” Except their arrival caused him to miss it. So because of them, there’ll be no Band Aid, no "USA for Africa", and no "Live Aid".

Jamie wants to find Bob and put things right. Tash wants to go straight back to the 21st century - she has a 5-month-old baby waiting for her.

What would YOU do? Go to your baby or feed a million others?

Thoroughly enjoyable

This appealed to me as some of the best times and music of my life happened in the 80’s.
It was funny, touching and evoked lots of memories. One minute I was laughing out loud and the next I was wiping away a tear.
The characters were all great and believable and it was beautifully read.
Now I’m about to start the next one.

Masterpiece ...

From the beginning to the end I was hooked. Never laughed as much at a book to be honest. The story was just my cup of tea with being born in the mid 70s.

The 'entourage' they meet during the story are a great bunch of characters.

Won't say too much, but wait until you get to the chapter where Jamie meets his younger mum in the hospital 🤣🤣🤣.

Now onto Did they steal a million yet..

Oh by the way, the narration is by the author himself, and does a fantastical job of it..

Laugh out loud funny

Love love love this book. Hilariously funny, which is embarrassing when you’re listening to it with AirPods in Tesco. It needs to be made into a film. Already have a cast in my head. Highly recommend everyone listens to it.
