Summary

Not every human, elf, or dwarf could be equally important to me - that's a fact I accepted long ago. I was here to serve my role and help end this war, not to achieve world peace or save mankind. It was so that I could someday lead a comfortable and happy life with the people I loved and cared for.

Arthur Leywin has experienced two lifetimes of challenge and adventure. He has lived as a swordsman, a mage, an adventurer, and a king. Now his two lives, old and new, will collide, revealing the connection between King Grey and Arthur Leywin, but at what cost?

How will this affect the ongoing war between the nations of Alacrya and Dicathen? Enemy forces threaten the coastal cities, the elven forests, and the fortified mountain passes. Dicathen’s most powerful allies have vanished, and the military alliance between men, elves, and dwarves threatens collapse. Arthur may be the last hope for his people, but when forced to choose between family and country, where will his loyalty lie?

This Ruined Me (in a good way)

Looking back at the series you can really see how much TurtleMe has progressed in writing. My emotions ran high in this one, I never thought I could cry to an audio book, yet again in public, but Travis' performance really makes the home run.

Frustrating

2+2=4 for the characters in the previous books. About halfway into this book it becomes 3,7,57 or any random conclusion.

Voice acting

Damn, the voice acting made this so much better than reading it. Perhaps showing more emotion than the comic

Good but not great

Good but not as good as the last book. Very predictable reveals. Tess was the most stupid and literally made the same mistake twice, owell might
aswell finish the series.

Epic end

I know that I can not be a critique since I really like the novel! I know that there are some gaps in the characters and in the story line, however I really like it. Audio actor made a marvellous job. Now it is time for the next one!

amazing

No trouble binging this at all.
The cliff hanger at the end is a bit unfair by the author tho...

Some people disliked the chapters written from other characters viewpoint but imo it made the world building much stronger.
Strongest book in the series imo.
