Summary

Jason has a gift for writing—and his talent has its rewards. His first letter results in free meals at a fast-food chain. Another yields passes to an amusement park. As he goes through life, writing letters makes things go his way—opening doors to colleges, connecting him with the President— and Jason feels the might of his own power.

But there's a dark side to his machinations—and someone knows it. Threatening letters in the mail fuel his nightmares...until opportunity knocks and a company hires Jason to write for them. But this "dream job" is about to consume his mind and reach for his very soul.

Worth listening to…

Overall I enjoyed this story exploring the strange letter power (gift?) wielded through his letter writing by the main character Jason. A few implausible odd loose ends and I feel sure there could have been a much better ending than the rather abrupt and convenient conclusion that transpired. Good but not a classic.

Different

I'm a big fan of Bently Little. This story is different from his other stories. It was a good listen even though it was very slow to start off with, but it does get better towards the end.

Fair review

I don’t usually leave a written review but after seeing the two star review I thought I had to balance it out. Two stars I felt to be a bit harsh. It’s a slow burner up to chapter eight it does feel a little slow and heading into a weak story but it does pick up and becomes a story that has you firmly committed. Not the best Bentley Little but as a fan of the author I can say it is worth sticking with. I enjoyed it very much

Good Read

At last something worth listening too. I do like this author though not all his books, but this was a good read/ listen and I am glad I purchased it. I have had so many boring, poorly written books lately, this made a nice change
