What I learned from this book
The first lesson from this book came from Romans 1:21. The verse explains how to draw away from God. By doing the opposite of what this verse says, we can stay full of God. Glorifying God, being thankful, and having a positive imagination allow your heart to become more sensitive to God.
The second, and more emphasized, lesson I got from this book was how to esteem God. Luke 14:26 says, by comparison, we must hate our family and our own lives compared to how much we care about Jesus. For God to be the biggest thing in our lives, we need to value God while DEVALUING EVERYTHING ELSE. This book reminded me of where my values should be, and it showed me how I was currently misplacing my values.
DO NOT fall apart like a $2 suitcase when everything in life goes bad. When I do fall apart like a $2 suitcase, it’s because my values are misplaced. It doesn’t matter the circumstances. Whether it’s death, loss of loved one, pain, job, or criticism, these are nothing but light affliction (2 Corinthians 4:17). I’d be happy to die. All possessions, family, friends, education, and achievements are of so little value compared to Christ (Philippians 3:7-8).
Lesson 2.5 from this book: Don’t give a rip. It is quite freeing when you DON’T GIVE A RIP about your own troubles.
This book gave me a positive attitude adjustment. It has a powerful message. Also, it takes effort to disesteem carnal matters; it takes effort and focus to remember and be thankful for the good things God has done. I haven’t arrived, but at least I’ve left. I’m glad I read this book. 👍🏻😃👍🏻

Very enlightening.
Was very clear to understand. The narrator was not boring while he told the story.
