Summary

Agatha Christie’s most exotic murder mystery, read by Hercule Poirot himself, David Suchet.

The tranquillity of a cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish and beautiful. A girl who had everything… until she lost her life.

Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: ‘I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.’ Yet in this exotic setting nothing was ever quite what it seemed…

Great story and performance

I only give this performance 3 stars as with the amount of characters perhaps more performers would had been more suitable. Nonetheless, amazing performance and story!

Absolute classic of course though having David Suchet read it is a bonus! Love his voices especially Poirot!

Excellence all round......

This is a fairly well-known Christie story from the film version with Peter Ustinov and, I think , better production with David Suchet as the famous Hercules Poirot.
This audio version is fantastic. I found myself totally engaged with the wonderful David Suchetacting all of the parts

Awful voices

Great story but a lot of the voices were very irritating done in a grating voice. Colonel Race one of the worst.

Not the best voice for narration

But great story line! Some of the voices he puts on for the characters are painful to listen to but it didn't mar my enjoyment too much.

One of Chritie's Best

Narration was superb (of course considering it was David Suchet!) and the story is excellent. A book that will be a joy to read or listen to by anyone.
