Summary
Life is good for DI Dan Hellier until the discovery of two headless, handless bodies buried in a bog on Dartmoor.

Love these
This is the 2nd one of her books I've listened to. excellent, good story, well narrated, will download the 3rd one. Hopefully more to come soon

Great Detective Series.
A thoroughly enjoyable detective series. Great plots and well written. Refreshing to have pleasant, down to earth characters within the police force.
Well narrated with good characterisation.
I hope Ms Steadman will write more in this genre.

Loved the characters and the story line. The narration is hugely improved now the narrator has got into his stride and slowed down a bit.

Good story
2nd one I’ve listened to, really enjoyed it, solid story and plot. I’ll be listening to the 3rd one next. As a Devonian it’s lovely to hear stories set in the local area.
There’s just one little annoyance: Topsham which is mentioned numerous times is mispronounced. It should be Top-sham not Tops-ham.

Believable characters and great story
I enjoyed spending time with the characters in both the first and this second book. Interesting stories that kept me wanting to know more. Well narrated. I’m looking forward to listening to the third book.

Continuing on with binge listen
So I went straight on to the next book in the series and for me the narration this time worked well and came into its own. I am so glad I continued as normally do like the narrator.
The story itself is engaging and I liked the setting. I am enjoying the fact I can binge listen through the audible plus catalogue so the characters become so familiar and you go on their 'journey'.

writer Cared about the Cat
I really like this series - this being my second audio
when the cat Rufus came into storyline I said to my husband
I hate when writers bring pets in to be Slaughtered- because they often do
Well I was happily wrong
Great writing plot case of characters
liked last book liked this 2nd one better....starting on 3rd soon as possible
I care about the people and want to follow them
