Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Marooned in a sprawling farmhouse in Norfolk, teenage Linda Radlett feels herself destined for greater things. She longs for love, but how will she ever find it? She can't even get a signal on her mobile phone. Linda's strict, former rock star father terrifies any potential suitors away, while her bohemian mother, wafting around in silver jewellery, answers Linda's urgent questions about love with upsettingly vivid allusions to animal husbandry.
Eventually Linda does find her way out from the bosom of her deeply eccentric extended family and moves to London to become a model. She knows she doesn't want to marry 'a man who looks like a pudding', as her good and dull sister Louisa has done, and marries the flashy, handsome son of a UKIP peer instead. But her new life is unromantic: darker, wilder and more complicated than she expected.
Then one day, at her lowest ebb, Linda spontaneously boards the Eurostar to Paris. There she is swept up in a feverish love affair that will upend her life completely.
A razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud novel that re-imagines the cast of Nancy Mitford's The Pursuit of Love.

Great story, well narrated - badly edited
This was a real festive treat, a deft and fun modern adaptation of Mitford's 'Pursuit of Love'. Knight clearly has a lot of love for the original, which shines through. Great narration from Big Suze as well, who is a perfect match for the tone of the story. Sadly this is let down by the editing - some errors have been kept in, there are some repeated lines, and, most egregiously, there is a plot chunk missing at the end which rather ruins the denouement. This is a great listen otherwise, but I would wait until the sloppy editing has been fixed - there is no way anyone on the production side has listened to the finished product the whole way through.

Loved it!
Just a joy to listen to. The characters and dialogue were just brilliant. The story just sailed along, and I really enjoyed being in the company of the Radletts as silly as they all were. The narrator brought the story to
life for me and set the perfect pace and melody to enjoy this book to it’s fullest. Did not appreciate the ending, I’ll leave that there! Would love to have got to know a bit more about Fran.

Totally brilliant adaptation of In Pursuit of Love
In Pursuit of love is one of my favourite books and I was at first sceptical about an adaptation.
and wondered how many things would translate to modern day . I listened to the audio book brilliantly read by Sophie Winkleman . It was a total delight ! Loved all the characters even Uncle Mathew! I do hope India Knight will tackle - love in a cold climate and the Blessing etc

I never wanted it to end
Bravo to both India Knight and Sophie Winkleman for a brilliant partnership of writing and reading. How I laughed! Just the thing for a rainy day or a long drive to lift the spirits and make all right with the world. To be on repeat forever.
