About this listen

Daft Wee Stories is Limmy’s first book. It is a collection of stories. There are short stories. There are longer stories. There are stupid stories. There are thoughtful stories. There are upside-down stories. There are normal-way-up stories. There are weird stories. There are less weird stories. There are really weird stories. There is nothing else like it. Have a listen.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I first heard about Limmy when I really stumbled across the podcasts of Limmy's wonderful World of Glasgow. This matches them. Lots of short stories in the usual Limmy style. Great for a pressie for a good Glasgow chum.

Have you listened to any of Limmy’s other performances? How does this one compare?

as good

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no, listen to a story or two at a time

Fun stories that work even better read out by Limmy. Great for dipping in and out of.

Great wee stories.

Mostly, I find Limmy funny, but his sense of humour is, like all senses of humour, a matter of taste. He's not everyone's cup of tea. Some of these stories arny funny but I liked them all the same.
I particularly enjoyed his tales about the man in the bear suit, the girl I the café, the up-side-down book (still works on audio) and the guy with the problems with his radiator.
Canny wait for volume 2.

Made me want more.

I have listened to this at least 10 times already. Some of these stories are just hilarious.

I loved the fantastical stories, loved the slice-of-life stories, loved the funny and thoughtful stories too. Some of them just leave you hanging, but so what? I feel that the audiobook version is a must as the rich Glaswegian accent just adds so much character.

Loved it.
