JENSEN:
I’ve always been the wingman. The great buddy. The teddy-bear guy women lean on.
In elementary school, I was the kid passing notes between infatuated classmates. In high school, I was the guy telling a pretty girl that somebody liked her. In college, I was the icebreaker, initiating casual conversation with women in the bar, so that my buddies could ultimately take them home.
Tonight’s no different, even though it’s my birthday. I’m still the guy enlisted to lay the groundwork so my friend can get laid.
Only tonight is different. Because tonight, we’re in my hometown. In my bar. And tonight, the woman I’ve been asked to warm up is Bailey Burrows. That’s not happening.
Yeah, I owe my buddy. The guy invested in my business when the bank laughed in my face. But I’m still not helping him hook up with the girl I’ve crushed on my entire life. If anybody’s taking Bailey home, it’s going to be me.

Decent " known ya my whole life and loved you just as long" kinda book. Nothing stands out as OMG amazing but it was entertaining.

Cute quick listen
The characters are around 30 but they are both shy and nervous around the other. Making them seem younger than they are. I kind of enjoyed the fact that he wasn’t sporting a 6 pack and hard muscles everywhere, it made him seem real to me. Narration was good.

A very cute, fun and massively romantic read, full of great friends, friendships a little bit of drama and a whole lot of swooning. Great narration, I enjoyed and was drawn into this friends to lovers forever story.

Love this couple!
Jensen has always been the wingman. Today is his birthday, and he is still playing the role for his friend. When the woman to warm up is Bailey, the one he has loved all his life though, he draws the line. Bailey has always loved Jensen from afar. Shy and scared, she finally decides to make her move. Will these two find out their unrequited love is real? This is a small town, feel good romance. It's full of real people who have relevant fears and worries. Jensen truly is a teddy bear. While a little heavier, that's not what makes him huggable, it's his heart! Bailey knows a good man when she sees one and she sees his heart Karla Doyle works this one, letting us all feel that no matter how we look, love is true and real. It made my heart feel good as I listened and I can't wait for the next one.
Lu Banks does a phenomenal job bringing this one to life. She understands her characters and gives them each a voice that is realistic and pleasing to the ear. I enjoyed this audio and will be watching for more by her.

Teddy Bear
Loved the narration of Lu Banks, so perfect for the hot , and sweet and enjoyable listen.
I loved this book. Jensen is home after 12 years and is know as a teddy-bear guy women lean on, the wingman
Since elementary school, he has been in love with Bailey. She walks into his bar and he no longer wants to be the wing man. Bailey is being brave and flirts with the man she has always cared for , but feels she is not good enough for him.
The chemistry and heat. Heads up there is steam . Loved

Terrific Story & Narration🎧 Charming & Heartfelt!
This is a fabulous, small town, friends to lovers, romance and the despite the book being on the shorter it packs a lot of story, a charming and heartfelt story. This is my first book written by this author, I enjoyed her writing style and the characters and storylines she created, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. The story drew me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire time, it tugged on my heartstrings as well. Jensen returned to his hometown and opened his own bar, which is doing well. A guy on the husky side, he was used to being overlooked and watched his friends get all the girls, he was even their wingman getting them their girls. But when it comes to Bailey, he will not be a wingman for anyone, including his good friend. He has always had a thing for her, but never found the right moment or the courage to tell her so. I loved watching these two get to know each other better and finally open up to how they felt and shared their own insecurities, I thought they were perfect together and for each other. This charming and beautifully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Karla Doyle, thank you for this enjoyable and wonderfully entertaining story.
🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Lu Banks is a talented narrator and voice artist. She did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. Banks set the perfect tone for the story, captured the character’s emotions and projected them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen.

Sweet, timid & sexy short. Friend-zoned since childhood and finally stepping out of their comfort zones.
Narration was iffy. Male part sounds feminine, so it’s hard to tell whose POV is speaking. Female part sounds child-like so it distracts from the story.

LOL omg what is happening, my reviews are no longer being saved? What the flying front door is going on?
Two childhood friends who secretly like each other. But, after he comes back from finishing college, he opens a bar with a help with his college roommate and friend. He sees his old school friend who is slightly intoxicated and is she flirting with him? He decides to take a chance and leap of faith. Will she accept his advances?

romantic childhood friends
Bailey and Jenson have been childhood friends.
he returned home hoping to see the girl of his dreams. I loved how Karla Doyle developed their reunion. Both had a crush on each other during their school years. Neither one acted on their crush because they didn't want to ruin their friendship.
He was her teddy bear and she a!ways was his dream girl.
I enjoyed listening to this story narrated by Lu Banks.

So sweet
Jenson and Bailey were absolutely adorable. Jenson got the push he needed to finally make his move. Bailey had her friends and dad, but was missing something. Together they were just what the other needed. The narration was great. The story and audio flowed smoothly and was easy to listen to.

Cute
I love when the main characters are awkwardly cute and these 2 definitely fit the bill. I fell in love with them both right away. Short with a happily ever after set in a small town. Hit me in the feels and left me with a smile on my face.
