Hope's lost her younger sister, but she hasn't lost her namesake. It's been almost two years since Faith vanished, but Hope hasn't given up the search. She'll find either her sister or some answers.

MC

I enjoyed listening to Bob Carter and Tammy Thomas, they are both great narrators. I loved this story of Hope and Cutter. This is a bad boy MC story with Hope who is a strong and ex military and can handle herself, but she needs help to get her sister. This was really good and the supporting characters were amazing! I loved every bit of this story

OUTSTANDING story and narration!!

This was SUCH a fabulous story! Hope is a strong, kick a-- woman on a mission to find her sister. Cutter is a strong and tender-hearted man (shhh, don't tell him I said that) that knows right away that Hope is the woman for him. Together they are explosive, in a great way!

The cast of loyal and supportive friends just rounds out the characters perfectly. The storyline was great and kept my interest all the way though! (I'm not much of an MC reader, but this series is going to be a favorite if the other stories are just as good!) I wish the rest of the series was out, but I guess I'll just have to listen to it again when they are released. Oh darn!

The narrators are both new to audiobooks (not voice acting though) and they BLEW ME AWAY! They both gave outstanding performances, not just read the story. I wasn't too sure in the beginning because it started out with Tammy Thomas reading really slowly. I usually listen at normal speed, but I had to bump it to 1.25x, which is a lot for me! I was afraid it would make the other narrator's chapters too fast, but it worked out perfectly. Within 3 chapters, I felt like Tammy had nailed Hope's character Tammy perfectly. Bob Carter has a *fabulous voice* that I knew instantly I was going to love. And OMFG the way he sighs and puts guttural sounds into the dialogue really brings it to life! I reached out to him to find out if he had more audiobooks lined up and he's finishing up "Her Thin Red Lifeline" also by A.J. Downey. I can't wait!!

I'll be looking for more from the author and both narrators! AJ Downey was also a new-to-me author, and I'm glad to add her to my favorites! I didn't realize this was a spin-off series from The Sacred Hearts MC series, so now I've got to go back and read that! (I could tell there was a backstory I was missing, but I don't feel like I missed anything by not having read the other series.)

If you are looking for a great audiobook, this one is definitely worth the credit!!

I received a review copy of the audiobook from the author (who was unknown to me at the time) in exchange for an honest review. I'm SO happy she did, too! It's my pleasure to write this review and share my recommendation for Cutter's Hope with others in my book groups.

Awesome Story & Listen🎧 Riveting & Intense!

Wow, I loved everything about this book, from A.J. Downey’s wonderful writing style to the story and characters she created. The book grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it all the way to the end. It is the type of book you can’t put down because you need to know what happens next. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to, I adored the two leads, Hope and Cutter. Hope Elizabeth Andrews is fierce, a badass who does not stand down to anyone even badass bikers. She has been search for her sister who disappeared. A lead brings her to a bar in Florida and an MC, she questing them about Faith’s roommate, Tonya, she may have info on her whereabouts. When she starts asking questions that may cause problems for Cutter and the rest of the members of the Krakens MC. Cutter met his match in Hope, actually the whole club did, took them a while to learn to trust her but once they did she not only earned their trust but their respect too. I loved how everything played out in this book, from Cutter and Hope’s romance to challenges she faced hunting down her sister. The book is brilliantly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, some angst, some mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments and some hot loving. A.J. Downey, thank you for this awesome story, loved the characters, the club dynamic and the camaraderie amongst the members.

Bob Carter and Tammy Thomas are terrific narrators and voice artists. They do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. They capture and project the characters emotions into their performance. Bob Carter’s take on Cutter was perfection, he sounded as I pictured him to. It took me a little while to get used to Tammy’s Hope but she grew on me after a while. These two are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the awesome listen🎧

This narration... DOWN TO THE SIGHING!

I have been so excited to start this book - I really loved the Sacred Hearts MC series and I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about The Virtues series. Our main character, Hope made me so happy! I LOVE when we see heroines who stand up and don't let men walk all over them. Hope is determined to find her sister as she went missing. I truly had a hard time putting this audiobook down, they NAILED the narration down TO THE FREAKING SIGHING!!! YES! Seriously, such an amazing audiobook. If you are able to snag the audiobook, I HIGHLY recommend! Also, I recommend reading Sacred Hearts MC first.

This story was fabulously acted out not simply narrated

FIRST TIME a story has been worth every single penny!!!
This is the first narrated/acted out story I have heard in quite a long time! This book was flawless!! The acting/narration of this book was flawless!!
This was totally a straight up PERFORMANCE!!
This was no simple double narration...this was acting. I mentally could “picture/see” what was happening as I listened. You could totally tell from their inflections what they were supposed to be feeling and thinking, not just listen about what they were thinking and feeling.
I straight up LOVED Bob Carter and Tammy Thomas together!!! They are straight up, 100% PERFECTION!!!
I really hope they do Marlins book together!!

Great Story!💜

This was a wonderful story and amazing characters.
I feel like it was the perfect amount of MC, angst, romance and a lot of sass!! I’m excited that this is the beginning of a terrific series and I can’t wait for more.
Let’s talk narration!! Bob Carter has a deep sexy voice that is HAF, and his narration was amazing. (Hard to distinguish his female voice but with a voice like his who cares lol). Tammy Thomas’ narration was also amazing, except for me, way too slow. I had to speed up her chapters. Overall I loved it.
This is book 1 and although it’s a continuing story, it has an HEA.
I highly recommend this book!

Wonderfully done

I have read this book, as well as the other two in the series and the SHMC series, many times. This was well done by the narrators and I will listen to it again and again.

Cutter's Hope

wow, I've read the book but to listen to it is totally different. I'm a huge fan of audios but these actors? Yeah, they had me speechless, narrators capture every feels, emotions, heartache of the characters. when I read the book, I teared up a little but listening to it is gut wrenching, author A.J Downey is amazing, and she chose the best people to narrated Cutter's Hope, I would definitely recommend this book and these actors, amazing performance!

Loved the story and the narration

I really enjoyed this book and I loved that each chapter swapped between the hero and the heroine so we got to see the action from both points of view. The best part of the book was how it was brought to life by the narrators. It was more like listening to a play than an audio book. They really brought the story to life - especially Bob Carter who's voice was was like listening to rich treacle! I hadn't read the previous books in the series but will definitely go back and read them now.

Cutter and Hope

I really enjoyed this MC book. The female lead character is bad ass! This is a tragic story plot that represents the most evil kind of people in the bad guys. I love how the male lead works with the other clubs to get things done. I really enjoyed the narration!

ALL the feels!! Creme de la creme!

A.J. makes the stories of the main characters very relatable and the narrators, Bob and Tammy, made them come alive so eloquently! I mean, REALLY! So alive in fact, that I found myself listening to chapter 24 several times.

The first time I listened I said, "Wait - What? What just happened?" (I don't usually listen to this genre so I was surprised at it's rawness, the sincerity in the writing, and the imagery)

The second time - I thought, Wow! - This author is on point with those descriptions! Holy cow! And the narrators -their voices, the change of mood and tones, and the sighs. All the little things they did gave this book a theatrical quality performance, and even though it was just one narrator talking in each chapter, I felt like I was the other character. I was there with them, making decisions with MY club, hopping on MY motorcycle - but, no - I was just that immersed in their world.

I had to listen a third time and by then - I thought - "That's exactly how I remember it!" - Heck, I realized that somewhere in life, I had not only been the raw sexy side of Hope, but the fighter, the distraught, and the hopeful.

I had to listen a fourth time and at that point - I just kept thinking - It's totally like that! *sigh**"Cutter!** - (Need to find that again!) Then when Hope gives her experience shortly after - "Fire!" - Again, A.J. writes such vivid descriptions that are detailed to a T.

I cried with these characters, felt their frustrations, their steamy love, and felt at home with the camaraderie of Cutter's club.

Engaging, Exhilarating, Excellent! - I'm hooked! Bob, Tammy, and A.J. - I'll be listening!
