The names have been changed to protect the innocent. Though, as you'll see, none of us were innocent.
I was part of an online community that went rogue, real world, known by your face and not just your handle.
I’d like to say I dated a few men. That would be a lie.
From the motorcycle-riding cutie with the washboard abs, to the strip poker game that ended up being a night permanently burned in my brain.
I dated them all and more—a couple of them suggested there should be an anonymous group to get over me.
They were all a lesson I needed to learn or at least a step toward the one I belong with.
Nobody ever said that following your heart wouldn’t take you through an obstacle course of men before you discover and could appreciate that maybe “The One" had been there all along. That the love of my life could accept everything I’d done and where it had taken me.
The fact is, he had a plan all along.
All he wanted was me.
My only goal was to have fun. I lived for the excitement and adventure. I experienced everything and everyone. It was all my journey that lead me to where I belong.
This is where my confessions begin....

pros and cons
it took me ages to finish this book. i felt that some chapters should have been much shorter and no need to get into so many sexual details in every single story. also i don't get why there was that section about M right before she went to Seattle. what happened to M after? anyway other than tjis, i felt the story was quite original and well written. the narrator did a very good job. i liked it even if it took me aboy 10 hours to warm up to it.

Living vicariously through Kate!
Having met this author in real life finally. I could see her through snippet of Kate’s character and lived through the book vicariously.
How did you meet your significant other? I met mine while still in high school long before the internet was a thing. Relax all you youngsters it easy that long ago! Lol
I haven’t had the chance to make sure I experienced all the different characters and attitudes that Kate does here so yeah I lived vicariously through her.
She meets some real losers who in my opinion take her on a wild ride but in the end she finds The One! And I loved the story to finding her mate!
I listened to the audiobook version of this book but I also have purchased the paperback from the author at a recent signing❣️
Naomi is a crazy fun gal who looks for fun and love I picture as as Kate does here in this book.
The narrator was awesome with all of the various characters here and she is new to my ears! Can’t wait to hear more from her.

A Wild & Steamy Journey to Love! Great Narration🎧
This is an interesting, well-written and uniquely told story, it grabs your attention right from the start and captivates it all the way to the end. This story follows Kate’s online adventures meeting men in online chat rooms and getting to know each other before meeting. And Kate keeps herself busy meeting different guys, having some interesting conversations and relationships. The story reminds me of a reading of a diary, some of the dialogue comes in form back and forth text and chat room conversations. She has a few special someones, some she loses touch with for a while and never forgets. And when she meets her special someone it takes her a while to realize that is exactly who he is to her. Naomi Springthorp, thank you for sharing the Kate’s adventures and steamy love affairs, loved where she wound up in the end.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Lila Winters did a great job bringing Kate and her story to life. She had a complete understanding of her character’s persona, gave her a voice that suited her perfectly and was a natural in the role. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captured all her character’s emotions and projected them into her performance. She set the perfect tone for the story and handled all the witty dialogue with ease. Winters is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

Diary….
This book read like a diary. I wasn’t a big fan in the beginning but soon warmed up to it. With a great performance from Lila it really did make this audiobook great.

Original and unique story!
Confessions of an Online Junkie was an entertaining listen and my first book by this author.
Narrator Lila Winters did a great job with the performance.
This is a very original and unique story that was filled with Kate’s dating adventures. We get to experience her highs and low of dating and searching for love. I loved how determined Kate was and how she made herself a priority. There were areas that I struggled to stay invested in the story but overall it was a pleasant listen.

Different twist on a story
I didn’t love the format of this book, it was a bit choppy and didn’t seem to have a lot of flow to it. Interesting premise but just know it’s not your typical book, each chapter is kind of it’s own story within the story, at least until the last few chapters. If you’re looking for something a bit different give it a go.

loved the narration of Lila Winters
Kate meets men online, looking for the right one. She vets them, and found the ones she wanted to get to know. Keeping a note of she her journey to her happily every after. We learn her innermost secrets, crazy encounters, heartbreaks and loves.

Searching For Love!
There is nothing more that Katie would like than to meet her special someone and she has chosen chat rooms as her way of finding him. She believes that the instant messaging allows her to determine if they would be a good match before meeting and along the way she meets some men she could imagine a future with, some men who are good for a certain point in her life and some she would never want to see again.
Her actions are humorous and because of the wide variety of experiences there will be something that anyone could relate to as she finally finds the man she is destined to be with even though there are some setbacks along the way. I enjoyed the performance of the narrator as she brought out the personality of the character and her twisty journey to find love. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

living the l8fe through Kate.
this story read like a diary. we meet Kate who is an online Junkie. she tells us all about the guys she meets up with. most are just hook ups some last a bit.longer. until she meets the one. she doesn't know he is. they keep communicating online and on phone but haven't ever met.
Lila is great as Kate. she kept me more interest than book itself..

So different and engaging.
This was a different kind of listen, but I had so much fun listening and getting to know the characters. This was highly engaging and kept you enthralled throughout. The narrator did such an amazing job.
