Summary
Relationships are complex. Love, ever-changing. And when it comes to rules of the heart, they were made to be broken....
That's what Robert Antonio Bianchi was telling himself, anyway. Otherwise, he really had no excuse for what - or who - he'd done. No excuse, except for his lonely heart, a pitcher of margaritas, four bitter bitches, and the apparent need to confess all his weaknesses to the two men he knew would bring him nothing but trouble.
But trouble was nothing new. Just ask his crazy sisters or any of his friends, and they'd be the first to tell you: If there was a bad decision to be made, Robbie always had a knack for making it. And thus, begins the story of the priest, the princess, and the prick.

Did not finish
I read in 5 star reviews the sex scenes must be great but I did not make it that far. At 10% I am so annoyed by the lack of story and tedious conversations that I worry I might smack my phone.

How to destroy a wonderful book
I really don't know how I get to the end. The narrator just butchered the book and the story,

Disappointing
Having read the book already and loved it I thought I'd give the audio a go. I wish I hadn't. The narrator totally spoiled it for me and I didn't finish it.
The narrator doesn't seem to know the difference between a comma and a period/full stop. Most of the time there's no variation in speed, he seems to be rushing through the manuscript, sometimes there's barely a pause between dialogue and description/action or a different character's dialogue. Consequently the narrator runs out of air and has to take breaths in awkward places creating pauses where they shouldn't be. There was barely any characterisation of the voices. I was surprised that Julian had an American accent when his French heritage is so prevalent in the storyline.
I could continue but I think thr fact I didn't finish it says enough. Absolutely no reflection on the book itself which is really very enjoyable.

HOT. Do not wear flammables!
When Robbie first appeared in Logan and Tate's book, Try, I wasn't sure if I liked him. I got more used to his character but I never thought he'd get his own book, and that I would LOVE that book.
Robbie is such a fun character now. He has so many complex feelings for characters and he's grown so much since his first appearance. He fits so wonderfully with Julien and Priest, and Ella Frank really manages to capture the possible complexities of joining a relationship with an already married couple.
Both Julien and Priest are fully realised characters, with their own pasts and demons to live with. Robbie really adds something to their lives and his addition doesn't feel forced, as I initially feared it would. I'm really excited to see how this progresses over the series.
Also, the narration by Charlie David is AMAZING. He has such a seductive voice and conveys every emotion perfectly for a fantastic audiobook.

Loved the book, hate the audio
I really loved this book, that's why it hurts so much that I hate the audio. The narrator is so stereotypical in his portrayal of Robbie. And Julien in FRENCH but no French accent? That is a big thing!!! I hate that I wasted money on this.

50 Shades of Gay
I enjoyed the characters and felt they were complex and well written. The story was slow to take off with a 'secret/surprise' element that took forever to the author to get to and a dom sub element that wasn't even exceptionally dom or sub. Not bad, and I will likely purchase the 2nd book in the series when it is released as I did enjoy the characters and am interested in learning what happens with the 'cliffhanger,' but I can't say it is the best gay/romance/relationship story I've read. However the characters did develop and grow throughout the book and more and more were revealed about them, but again, it was a very slow process to get the story rolling but picked up momentum after it got going. One additional thing: I am a gay man who lived in France for over twenty years ... Julian would likely be uncircumcised, a big fetish opportunity for the author to capitalize on for the American readers, but it was never even mentioned in the book.

A Great Start
Once again, Ella Frank has delivered a fantastic story and a GREAT start to a companion series for the Tempation series. Enter, Robbie Bianchi, Joel Priestly and Julian Thornton, the most Unlikely trio you would ever think of being possible. I am not gonna spoil a thing, just tell you something that has stuck with me since the very first Tempation novel....You can never know unless you TRY. Thank you Mrs.Frank for another excellent story. I look forward to Julian and Priest.

Robbie, Confessions 1
I am so glad I held off and avoided all posts and spoilers for this set of books.
IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT.
Everything you could ask for when getting to the start of Robbie's story. I'm already loving the dynamic between the three men and we just got started. The way Priest and Julian were both instantly drawn to Robbie and how they all need and take different things from their relationship was great to see. This was a perfectly flowing story line. The book and audio length were great for a book one, but I am also so ready for more and can't wait to jump into Julian and Priest's books.
Audio - After listening to Shannon Gunn narrate Tate and Logan's story line i am so glad he wasn't used for these men. Don't get me wrong Shannon was great, but he will always be "Tate & Logan". We really needed a new voice for these new characters and after listening to this audiobook it's clear that the perfect person is Charlie David. He did an amazing job capturing the voices and characteristics for each of these men. And the French Charlie threw in..... Jesus... Love Everything about this book.

I miss Shannon
The story is amazing, but Charlie David needs a fixin. Half the time I can’t tell which character is talking because they ALL SOUND THE SAME. Shannon Gunn used to get ya hot under the collar. Made you feel like you were one of the characters and actually hear the different accents and inflections in the characters. Charlie doesn’t do it for me.

no real plot
I got this book because all the reviews said it was such a great story, and that they love these men. I found that there was no real plot and there was no anguish. The whole story took place in a week, which made it so unrealistic. Two successful men want to take on this young twink who seems to have no real life ambition? I don't buy that, but again there was no real plot.
As for the narration; I've heard him do other books in the genre and he does a really good job at it, but for some reason I just didn't care for it this time around. as for the French pronunciation, some of them were spot-on and some of them he was way off. I kept hearing "uncle" and that's not what he was saying.

Loved it!
I loved this book and I really loved hearing Robbie, Priest, and Julien come to life! Charlie did such a fantastic job with these three characters, bringing out their individual personalities.
Julien and Priest were such a surprise, I wasn't expecting all the feelings they evoked! But I so enjoyed seeing them as a couple, how truly loving and caring they were with each other. I do admit to being leery at first, not sure how things were going to work with them being married and bringing Robbie into the midst of it all. But all my worries were put to rest once I "saw" how much they really did care about him.
Robbie is so freaking adorable and I just wanted to see him happy! It seems like he's finally found the place he really belongs.

Charlie David's voice is like sin!!!
This was amazing..I loved the book and the audible was fantastic. Charlie David's narration was absolute perfection. OMG his Priest voice was crazy hot and when Priest spoke French in his deep voice, my panties melted!! His Julien voice and French was so sexy and his Robbie was just as I had imagined and had me laughing out loud. Merci Beaucoup!!!

interesting story sunk by the narrator
The story itself is interesting but the narrator is completely off the mark. He is reading too fast, chasing after the text with insipid voice acting. complete miss on this audio book version.
