Summary

BRILLIANT BOOK 2
The 2nd book was amazing, so happy there read by same person. Roller-coaster story, such good characters and a thrilling who done it.
Can't wait to listen to book 3.

1 qualm
the only thing I would say I disliked was the gap between starting 1 paragraphs with 1 character and the next with another character. many times I had to rewind cos I thought I'd skipped forward 30secs by accident and missed the crossover. not the fault of lynda la plante but of the editor I guess!

Brilliant compelling murder mystery
Loved this book full of twists and turns of murder, voodoo and detective work, one person's stubbornness not to give up, narration is fantastic and giving a very good insight into alcoholism being the devil that drives you on and is your true friend

Enjoyed the plot
Enjoyed the plot and even though the narrator has a good voice I could barely stand some of the characterizations. Most of her “other” characters sounded like little children or squeaky adults. Pity.

I am hooked
This book was just a brilliant listen, it was educational but also had lots of twists and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and I must admit I am hooked on this series, I cannot wait to start the next book. This book will not disappoint, Lynda is an exceptional writer and the narrator really brings this book to life. One of my favourite books to date.
