Summary

The colony world Adirondack and Silvern fell to the Troft forces almost without a struggle. Outnumbered and on the defensive, Earth made a desperate decision. It would attack the aliens not from space, but on the ground - with forces the Trofts did not even suspect. Thus were created the cobras, a guerrilla force whose weapons were surgically implanted, invisible to the unsuspecting eye, yet undeniably deadly. But power brings temptation...and not all the Cobras could be trusted to fight for Earth alone. Only Moreau would learn the uses - and abuses - of his special abilities, and what it truly meant to be a Cobra.

Great storytelling and production quality.

Definitely worth checking for any sci-fi fan. I was oblivious to Cobra universe until now and I must say I missed out on a great story and not so standard approach to SCI-FI.

Very interesting

The concept seems very standard sci-fi but the questions asked through out make it very interesting.

The Six Million Dollar Man has not aged well.

This book was first published in 85 and it seems that the author really liked The Six Million Dollar Man...
It has not aged as bad as other books but the only redeeming quality it has is the narrator.
And even with my appreciation of Rudnicki i had to give up with about 2 hours left.

It is hard to put my finger on what exactly makes this book so dated. There are almost no bombastic therms and not much of the misogynistic opinions of other older authors.
Besides some ridiculous plot devices (lasers in heels and pinkies) it should be fine but it is not.

Still i felt a few times that the book would end and was glad of it but then i noticed there were more hours left.

Strange experience and i would not recommend it unless you are really into pre 90's sci-fi with all the silliness it involves.

Not bad

Typical SF cheap saga. It is not bad as some can be, but if you expect well-developed characters and high literacy value, you will be disappointed. It has interesting twists, but it is rushed where supposed to be highly detailed then well described at places of low importance. The narrator did a very good job, honestly thanks to good narration I went through the book. As I said not bad for light read/listen.
