I absolutely love this book!
This was such a good book little baby Emma was left is a newborn in the cemetery next to a church and thank God she was because every Christmas Eve Ms. Mayberry and her mother would go visit her father‘s grave to show their love and respect for him. On this night they heard a baby cry and took little Emma home she called Miss Mayberry aunt and her mother grandma and unfortunately grandma died and when Emma was 16 so did aunt who was the only mother she ever knew . Thanks to her unscrupulous lawyer she had no place to stay and was very sick on the London Street what a Conelly woman took her in I mean a “kindly“ woman took around, only to find out she was a prisoner and would soon be shipped off to a country far away but who knows what. There is so much of the story I cannot say is it would roll in it and it is so good. It’s not long, but very very good! Kate Anderson does a great job this story reminds me of Faye Godwin stories, but it’s written by Dolly price and I can’t wait to read more books by her. I highly recommend this book.

Perfect for a winter afternoon
I absolutely loved this book! A heart achingly beautiful Christmas story and romance... I felt like the character developed was well done, the story well written and engaging, and generally the entire premise of the book charming. I love a clean romance... but this had multiple layers of love and romance - which just made it even better!
An Orphan with many questions of where she came from, a vivid imagination, and loving truthful guardians. A sweet and kind boy who loves this orphan girl. Highly recommend this book as a Christmas afternoon read!

I cried
I am not ashamed to admit that I cried. It was such a sad story with a lot of hardships I’m sure anyone could understand. The feelings of abandonment were truly sharp but at the same time the magic of Christmas was so wonderful. It was painful to listen to the things regarding societal prejudice as well as how an old woman could cause such an upheaval to so many lives, during Christmas no less. In the end though, it was sweet. Quite short but still, it was lovely.

An emotion-filled Clean Historical romance
“Churchyard Orphan” by Dolly Price
This review is about what I liked about the story, or not. I received this audiobook as a gift, for which I am grateful, as I truly did like this story. I liked that the story was well written and the ground work was set for all subsequent revelations. This was a clean historical romance, and an emotional read for me. I cried several times during the reading of this literary adventure. I enjoyed the wee bit of magic inserted in this offering, and I really liked the narrator’s interpretation of the story. So it seems I liked everything about this story. Happy Reading !!

GREAT READ!
I really enjoyed it! The narration was great and kept me entertained! The author did a great job with the character builds and plot! This was not my first book by this author, I read Dora's Workhouse Child and enjoyed that as well! I look forward to reading more books by this author! This is a beautiful innocent romantic novel. True to the era it still has all the drama and danger but is so beautiful and lovely. It’s not always a happy ending for orphans but this was a beautiful ending.

Churchyard Orphan
I enjoyed the book. Emma had a hard life, she is left in a graveyard on Christmas Eve, the woman who took her in loved, but wasn't very touchy. Good clean romance.

What a journey!
The Churchyard Orphan is a wonderfully written clean and sweet romance. This book takes the reader on quite the journey with drama, mystery, adventure, and beautiful romance. The characters are interesting, relatable and easy to love (or despise). The storyline has a nice pace and kept me wanting more. The narrator gave a beautiful performance.

Sweet Historical Romance
This was my first Dolly Price's book. This is a short and sweet Historical Romance. Emma's journey is filled with drama, and twists and turns. This is a beautiful Christmas Romance. Katherine Anderson did a good job with the narration.
